Man it's funny you say that, I've been thinking about this for a perpetual outdoor! Could you give a few details, such as your min. and max. daylength? Down here I get around 11.5 hours of light at winter solstice (june 21, I'm in the southern hemisphere) and around 13.5 hours at summer solstice. I've been thinking about it for a few weeks but won't be able to actually grow this way until next year (moving to another place). Some planning doesn't hurt though...
