That looks pretty cool dansbuds, always wondered how a large capacity trike would ride. I imagine it's like riding a lazy boy, but more fun. I love the extras on those old Harleys too, so distinctive.

05 triumph thruxton, only vehicle i bought new & probably the one i customized most, had all sorts of internal engine mods, big bore, shaved heads, flatslides, suspension stuff... was so fun to ride, would buy it back in a hot second if i could find it. sold to a guy in pheonix. here it is the day i bought it:

88 one owner 40k well cared for miles . the trike kit was bought from harley ( independant rear suspension ) in 06 after his knees gave out . its an EVO motor 82cubic inch with the 5 speed tranny with the reverse gear installed the same time as the trike kit .
he just got to old to ride it anymore & passed it onto his son , but he has a 2016 ultra he just bought , so the old man gave him the go ahead to sell it .
he was happy to see someone who knew what it was & how well it was taken care of that he was glad to sell it to me .
besides a couple scratches on the rear fenders , this thing looks , sounds & rides like a much newer bike !!! this thing will be with me till i can't get on it anymore either ! then maybe i'll pass it on to my grandson

Awesome!! I really like it when people appreciate machines and take care of them. That was the best of all the conversions done right. Nice. In 1981 they bought the company back from AMF. All the tooling was renewed and they really had carburetors figured out. Did they upgrade the pipes and exhaust?

That trike kit is nothing like the triglides and freewheelers. The new trikes handle way better but are pigs and won't get out of their own way. That's a Lehman trike conversion kit

Not to mention a 107..... You can't compare the two. They're two completely different machines. $30k for the new one with all the charges and tax.

Always felt like I'd become too complacent on a trike treating it more like a car due to the ease of riding. They do look damn comfy though, closest I've ever been to riding one is a Spyder. Looks like a nice bike though.

Trikes are harder to ride. Newer trikes handle way better. Older ones are like cars with no power steering and take more upper body strength to steer at low speeds

Ever try a sidecar outfit?:moon:

I thought having extra drive to the sidecar wheel would improve things ... I was totally wrong
