Feds Shutting Down Harborside....

The Revolution

Not sure where youve been but the revolution is happening. It wont be televised, you're damn right. Look at the people of Egypt they came together and stood up for themselves, and are make a difference finely. Thats what needs to happen here at home. Make a difference, and be heard. Stand on your own two feet, United we stand, and divided we fall. We are a nation of 310+ Million, Dont let them divide us.

"The larger the operation, the greater the likelihood that there will be abuse..." Our gov't is entirely too large therefore greatly increasing the likelihood of abuse, aimed towards us, the citizens. one of my favorite people, Ben Franklin, was quoted saying. "We need a revolution every 200 years, because all governments become stale and corrupt after 200 years.".. were a good 25+ years past the time for a revolution. I'm sure we'd all agree the gov't is corrupt. but it starts with knowledge. the first tidbit.. “Government big enough to supply everything you need is big enough to take everything you have. The course of history shows us that as a government grows, liberty decreases.” ― Thomas Jefferson

REVOLUTION IS THE ONLY FEASIBLE ANSWER NOW:clock watch: waiting

While I feel bad for DeAngelo and his crew, this overreach by the DOJ could actually have a silver lining. Haag is asserting Federal law trumps State law, setting up the perfect State's Rights test case for cannabis. Hopefully Steve has a little bit of that $$ left to hire an agressive atty...

The only reason the Feds can get involved with this at all...is the Interstate Commerce Claus-- They use that as a loophole to interfere with State Law--
Once/If the Scheduling is reduced, they will lose that-- :tiphat:

The feds do this almost twice a year in the Bay Area. Showing there presence to scare the industry. I'm sure fellow dispensary owners can confirm this too.

I personally didn't care for HS too much. (mostly consistency, and pricing.) But, this really can be a major turning point for the future of safe access in California. Just my 2cents...:tiphat:

Time to cut your braids and get a real job Stevie!!! You've made your million's off of the MMJ initiative and gave nothing back to the public but rip-off prices used to line your pocket's with gold!!! Greed is all you have ever been about I hope that the Feds manage to hurt you where it counts, but I'm sure that you have your money in overseas accounts well hidden. People like you are killing Prop. 215 for the few of us who depend on the law for our health!!! THANKS YOU GET WHAT YOU DESERVE :moon::moon::moon:

Medical marijuana is over after this.

Now maybe the real patients, growers and collectives can function quietly within the law without all the grandstanding that has overcome and is ruining the ideals of Prop. 215. Jon 54

It sucks to hear of anyone that has to deal with the Feds in court. I wish them much luck in beating the pants of off the F-cking Feds.

How any member of this forum can come in here and say otherwise nearly renders me speechless.

HS has the resources to fight this-- I think they will call on US vs Steele Smith, as that Case was allowed a Medical Defense....the first (and as of yet, only) Federal Case ever to allow this--
http://www.pot-tv.net/content/2012/0...edical-Defense
I agree that HS very likely has been preparing for this all along--

I would hope they just fight this case on it's own merits because of the precedents it could set if they win. Precedents that could give the states some of their power back.

As we all know Obama did go on record as not using DEA resources to persue people and companies compliant wth their State laws. This implies a willingness of Federal Government to at least give states a chance to govern themselves first and have the Federal position be more just supportive if needed, which is how it should be.

Then there is this issue of Melinda the Hag saying they're doing this because of the potential for abuse because of the size of Harborside. If that's true, if there is no actual abuse and this is all based on a percieved opportunity for abuse. Then that combined with both the President's public position on the issue and the recent crack downs on other dispensaries (forcing business at Harborside to go up by attrition of sources) Harborside would have a real good case for entrapment I think.

Well come on, you're absolutely right, nobody should be locked up over smoking a weed but certainly you can understand how people that maybe can't grow and therefore are dependent on places like this are a bit upset at the prices charged especially knowing how growers were getting shafted by the dispensaries too. I mean people only in it to make huge profit off of other peoples efforts and illnesses are as much the enemy to our cause as the government is.

It's not about ignoring facts, dipshit. It's about not supporting The Man by apologizing for his actions. Yes, technically, cannabis is illegal per the federal government. Does that make it cool for the Feds to bust people and put them in prison? Get a clue, man.

"If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so." – Thomas Jefferson

So then you have to choose whose side you're on.

So who's side are you on?

Who's case are you going to support via your stupid or smart comments on a message board? Who are you going to root for, and who are you going to laugh about getting busted and shut down?

Think about it.

Critical thinking is important.

So is reading comprehension. You lack it.

I'm not "cheering for the feds." I am simply pointing out the common sense distinction between a stunningly stupid fuck with too much money begging to get arrested versus Joe Blow Personal Gardener who loses his entire life over a cabinet grow.

Neither person should be in jail. But if you can't comprehend the moral distinction between the two, well, I'd imagine life in general is pretty fucking hard on you, egh?

Read more carefully next time before you go accusing respected members here of "supporting the feds." People tend to take those accusations pretty seriously. While I do support you taking a trip to Sylvan Learning Center, I don't want to send your dumb ass to jail any more than Harborside.

I hate tough talk and I consider this place a large group of friends. But accusing me of supporting the feds? Fuck you, dude.

For the Record, Prop 19 was a POS for us who grow. I assume you all know that Prop 19 allowed for a grow space of 25 sq ft.. For you who are anti-math, that is a 5 foot by 5 foot space....

Although I am FOR Legalization, very happy that Prop 19 didn;t pass, due to the Limitation of grow space, (I thought 25 sq ft., was in effect supporting Dispensaries, but not Medical Growers) but would like to see Ammiano's Bill gain some traction...
