To be honest, she isn't, I'll put the weight up when it's fully dry.

So here's another shot at impressive.
Black G# under the FC-3000.
She's just finishing veg, and was given a repot last week. The roots are just finding their boundaries as she puts out the first pistils. This should be better timing.

should be good by the looks of it... has it any more to stretch ?

There will still be vertical hight added, but that will be bud and there's a tad more room to move the light up. We should be golden with this one. I really need to add a real fan to this tent though, a desk fan aimed at the door isn't ideal.

Man it's too hot for this game, even with LEDs, 600w in one bedroom, this weather, needs a fan swapping air out of the room.
Running out of nutes didn't help, the internet running out of nutes helped less. Had to change my brand of soil grow, to growth tech ionic.
Won't break any records this grow, it's just too hot.

Seems the site is knackered, tried for 37 mins to upload a pic, no go.
Very nice GMT considering the conditions,,
Summers the last few years have made indoor a trial
even with a moby air con for the temps then ya juggling balls to keep humidity up in bloom,,,,
That’s why I held off on starting my grow until this week,,,s2

I was going to try that stuff for hot weather, but seems it's just si and sugar. So just used si. It used to be that you could just sacrifice August as a veg month, but now it's may to September I just can't wait it out. Lots of poor buds is better than no buds. Ah when I were a lad. Lol

I'll keep an eye open for your next grow.

you didn't cover the sides or the container by intention ? I always found that roots develop better in darkness and light tend to inhibit them but maybe i am wrong about this, not sure

The roots now cover the outside of the compost, like a root pot inside the container. Not that much light is making it through the thick canopy above.
I like to keep track of how the roots are doing, I can track any timing issues, any over watering issues, anything soil related is visible. Once I know what I'm doing, maybe I'll switch to black pots too.
I really don't know mate, I've never had an issue with roots other than cuttings not rooting. Which I'm facing right now. Might have to take a couple of cuts in flower at this rate.

Hey Gizmo, did you get lost somewhere? Glad you found your way back 😁. Yeah it's looking nice, I should have paid more attention to @VerdantGreen 's concerns, it has become a little taller than I anticipated, but she'll be fine.

The other tent isn't looking too shabby either, the two generation old, 3 year service light, TSL2k with a couple of hamlet under it.

looks great! you still have room to raise the light by the looks of it anyway?...

was going to ask.. whats your schedule for that hesi boost stuff you mentioned. i bought some and was wondering about the '1 time in veg' thing and when you do it... does it replace cal/mag as far as you're concerned?
cheers

I don't bother with boost until they go into the big tubs and strong light. Which should, on my schedule, be about the last week or two of veg. Until the roots hit the sides of their new tub, I give them a squirt or two per 2 litres of water, each week. With their other food, whatever they order from the menu. I consider myself more of a waiter than foreman these days. If they show signs of wanting something, I give it to them. Grow bloom boost and silicon is the limit of their menu though. A squirt here, a squirt there, as and when really. I don't know if they're getting everything or nothing until I look at them.
But yes, it's a direct replacement for Cal mag and more. I need one of those referer links to get me commission on this, but every led grower in soil should be using hesi boost.
That light is now at it's max, I need to break the string out again, but I've used too much silicon to bend the stems nicely now.

While I've got you VG, that last grow of the producer gave me a little over 5oz, and one seed. Clearly selfed itself due to the heat and starvation stress, but I now have to reconsider ever using it for real seeds. I cannot pass on weak genes, can I? The temptation to pop it is strong though.

thanks, that's useful. I'm similar with a fairly ad hoc addition of liquid nutes.. but i pimp up the soil a bit too with EWC. was having cal/mag led problems and liquid calmag helped.. but adding gypsum and dolomite lime to the soil pretty much solved them until the contra D got a bit hungry... but that was down to root/veg/flowering timing as much as anything.
The seed, (im flattered you would ask me tbh) how sure are you it selfed? did you see any male flower on the bud? hard to be sure otherwise.
No harm in growing it.. if its exceptional then who knows. I only dabble with my lines but the BDB has the odd herm.. maybe 5-10% of females.. but it seems 'accepted' that it is part of the territory with the blue lines. Ive never used a plant in that line that was itself intersex though i guess.
Great thing is we all get to choose ....
I grew a seed i found i an amnesia bud, it had sat on the corner of my bedside table for weeks without falling off and getting lost so i grew it.. and it seems to be awesome.. must run it again, but then i'm thinking - i don't even know what this is for sure (i think its (chem D x bubba) x amnesia - what can i do with it if its great ? breeding wise? uncertain progeny.
But at the end of the day if its amazing to smoke then we will probably find a way, or at least try.

If I actually saw a male flower on any of my girls, even under stress, it would be the last run of that clone. I inspected the bud but no signs. If it was left over pollen though from a previous seeding round, I'd expect more than one seed.
Curiosity is strong, but limited time and space create selection pressures. Plus I just found an unlabelled stash of seeds that I just don't remember putting there (for safe keeping). I've got so many things I need to look at.
I may pass a few things to a back garden grower I know next year.
Funny how typing things out can clarify my own thoughts sometimes. Next year I'll do a proxy outdoor grow. My unknown, curiosity seeds under the sun.
I should have staggered my two tents, both in flower, no scrubber, it stinks in here.

Weekend update, bit of an Icarus situation here.

I may have to remove the driver to let the buds through at this rate. What's surprising me is that there are no signs of burning on the upper leaves. Yet.
