YEP!...Tom Morello is the ONLY guitarist I give any credit to.

He makes a guitar sound like it's not a guitar....so since I'm not a fan of most generic band type insturments...he's my fav.

I'm not a fan of him beyond RATM tho.
yup.... hes more like a sound tech who happens to do the tech thing on a guitar i think

Jimi Hendrix-band of Gyspy's new years show 69-70 Machine Gun. The best solo hands down. Pure emotion and genius Nevermind

Oh yea....I discovered it 2 years ago..The best Solo hands down

If this song was on the list to vote between Rock Stars...It deserved a Hall of Fame Award and slap it on his Tombstone Cause nothing better out there

Someone posted it on youtube in 2 parts...Whew !!!!

I remember getting the first RATM album when I was in sixth grade.....it changed my world forever...Still throw it in for a rotation every now and then.....its one that you don't need to skip any tracks, just pure awesomeness.

Jimi's song Axis: Bold as Love has the most emotionally satisfying solo i have ever heard. You KNOW he really means it, every note. My all-time-favorite.

Some great mentions on here, i agree with many. I have a secret love for the solo in Metallica's Harvester of Sorrow, an otherwise mid-level metallica song but the solo...schmokin.

The there is Hummer by Smashing Pumpkins. Killer. Lyrical and beautiful.

And last but def not least, possibly a tie in my mind for the best EVER is Hitch A Ride by Boston. That song has dueling solos, one spacey and one raw, that merge into one mega solo. Of course, smoking a doobie before appreciating it is a must.

hehehe ZZ Top ...... they're quite "unique" to say the least
I love their pinch harmonics, their solos and their beards

Definately a very unique sound, and you've got to pay credit to that even if you don't like them

La Grange is probably my fave ....

IT'S TIME FOR MY SOLO

IT'S TIME FOR MY SOLO

Road Runner United's King Diamond tribute/cover song. Solo rocks.

Nevermore's "Engines of Hate" solo
http://youtube.com/watch?v=KobymC08Wxw

Sooo many more good solos. Anything from Hendrix, Page, Malmsteen, Buckethead, Almost any 80's hair metal band, Skynyrd, Fripp, Rhoads, Young, Dimebag, Kirk Hammet (back in the glory days.) Trying to think of more but my mind draws a blank. Some contemporary lead also: Omar from The Mars Volta, Thomas from The Fall of Troy.
