Emerald Cup 2015

i got pulled over by Highway patrol on my way back from the cup, with a car full of concentrates, weed and seeds. They searched the vehicle and asked me for my 215 papers and then made me wait for like an hour on the side of the road while they tried to figure out what the law is, then they finally let me go with a speeding ticket. I didn't realize it until i got home, but in my suitcase i probably had at least 2 lbs of shatter that i got from a friend last week but i dont think the cops knew what it was, or how much. Or maybe they just didn't care.

Wow! Close one...

Thanks again for that Dream Beaver shatter. The flavor is unreal :tiphat:

If you get pulled over in my neck of the woods with that you are on the front page and doing 15 years. How dumb is that, same country, just different state. Wow.

Sounds like great times! I am going to make the trip next year, always wanted to attend a cup.

800$ for 10 seeds?? Wowza! I would pay that for very very few strains. Hope they pan out!

Thanks everyone for sharing the experience!

it was a good time. I didn't go last year but its at least 10x as big as it was 2 years ago. The crowds and lines were a bit much but they also had a lot more vendors

yeah it might be some bullshit but I'm a strain collector and there was only 35 packs released. one plant will pay for that pack ten fold. mind ya damn business if you don't have anything useful to say

you will love the strain. mandle and i were friends for years. leo is going to use part of the money to go to a charity for macks kids. he died unexpectedly last month from a heart attack. 36 years old...what a shame. regardless, the royal kush line you just bought is a collaboration between mandle and leo and is the highest evolution of this breeding line. one of my favorite strains period. rich, terpy, greasy, fungal pest and climate resistant beast. preserve this line by making seeds yourself. you will not be sorry. enjoy your new beans!

I will mind my business and everyone else's I am 67 years old and have been smoking for 50 years . the Emerald Cup and everything else about the weed hustle is getting old, sure 800 seeds can bring 3 to 5 pounds of expensive outdoor but shit I am so tired of the gouging in the world of weed its the same gouging that Internet providers or utilities companies , gas companies etc. are doi g to all of us !

That is a shame about the gentleman's heart attack. Only 36 years old too. Ugg, life is so short. Best vibes to his family and friends.

I would pay that for seeds if they were going to a good cause like that.

Thanks for the info 30years!

I would actually expect 800# out of 800 beans at very bare min. Imagine what schrews, e orchard, mendo would pull of that many seed.

But that is sort of the beauty of the weed game. You don't have to drop that kind of cash to have good medicine. But you have the choice. And I consider that a huge advancement in the cannabis world. Access to top quality genetics is getting closer to everyone.

So if you want some beans to grow your own, you can get them as cheap as 20$ a pack of ten and make untold seeds from there. Or if you are a collector or just a pheno hunter like me, that top self stuff is cool to have access too.

But I mostly agree that everything these days is expensive as heck. And it does not have to be.

So.....shop smart, shop S-mart! :tiphat:

800$, not 800 ct. its weird that you switch to talking about price, would make more since if you said you could get a keeper from a low number of seeds then switching to a currency scale.

I wish out of state people could get in
Out of state growers could get something entered if they solved the transportation issues involved. Have not entered myself, but if it required CA residency would have to have a friend enter it. edit: If you are just trying to get in yourself you could, if you wanted to get into the patient area you would need a California i.d. and rec.
