Looking great elevate! Very nice! Many of my plants are starting to show purple as well.

You know, of all the guerrilla growers on ICmag, you have the most similar conditions to mine, I can't think of anyone else closer. I am amazed at the lack of Oregon and California Guerrilla growers on ICmag.

BACKCOUNTRY - it's always nice to have people with similar growing conditions on any level of experience within this community (not only outdoors - but all of IC). questions can be raised, and in turn, answered.... rain in october is something almost any guerilla grower can relate to, while possibly dealing with mold, snapped branches, etc... and yes i would like to see more west coast guerilla as well.... who wouldn't?:chin:

I don't find the October rain and mold to be much of a challenge, but I do find the extremely dry conditions we grow in through the summer to be one.

crap, you are so right. it is so much more work hauling the water and making sure every plant has a drink than it is to inspect buds for mold....

Wood rats

Wood rats

Looking great man! Do you think its Deer damage or do you think it might be Wood rats? I have problems with those here. Anyways, looking great!

Reviving from the dead, sorry, but I think it could have very well been wood rats. I have found several GIGANTIC nests up on the hillside. Do these things climb the cages and then munch the stuff? How am I supposed to protect against that!? :( Not looking forward to dealing with all the critters and pests this year. I do have plans to make a bat house to hang from some trees to have a natural insect control. But dang those wood rats... Funny how 6-7 years ago how arrogant and caught up in my own thought I was. Hopefully I am a better and more open minded learner with some age on me now. Thanks BACKCOUNTRY, you were always my fav man, I haven't done any poking around the forums yet, but I hope you are still around and going strong.

I will study your threads or maybe just straight up ask you when the time comes, because for me it is a challenge to deal with rain late in the season. I am on the hills facing North (Looking downhill you would be facing North). There are far more trees on this side as opposed to the side across the valley (the only trees that exist there are one's planted by and cared for by humans) mostly because it is too hot in the summer and everything dies that isn't well established and drought resistant. As soon as the sun starts to loose its high summer position in the sky the trees begin to block and the shade begins to poor over the landscape. When it is shady and cold, water does not dry. It ended up being that this grow was completely ruined by males that I did not pull early enough, and serious mold. Most of the buds had mold on them already when I chopped 'em, but I am sure that mold continued to spread and grow as they attempted to cure. The best thing for me is probably as early as a season as possible, which is not good THIS year again because I am starting late.

I intend to post pictures soon of the new grow on the forums under a new name.
