These ECSDs got a top-dressing of Nitrogen-rich bat guano, and some biological stimulants (beneficial fungi). They will get one more shot of nitrogen feed (via watering) before chop - maybe this week. Then I will carefully administer bloom nutes and micros until flush time, with no furter nitrogen. I will let the trace amounts of N that reside in the top-dressing provide a little nitrogen. It's important NOT to let the top dressing get too dry... Keep it moist so that the release of nutrients from it never stops. If it gets dry, there can be no decomposition. Without decomposition, there will be no release of nutes from the top-dressing... :smile:

How does the potency rate up there with White Widow, Northern Lights?

What about other high-potency sativas like S.A.G.E or Kali Mist or SSH?

Lou!!! What's up brother maing!? It's looking good for a summit :wink: I'll let ya know more soonly... And bro, these are grown in a soiless mix, they're not hydro That's just pro-mix and liquid ferts added via watering. It's very much like soil, and very much like hydro. It's the best of both worlds imho, and the taste of the herbs done this way is astounding! The buds burn like insence. Light the bud and walk away, it'll burn all by itself. Herb grown this way burns so clean that you have to watch your joint, or it'll burn right down to your filter tip (if you use one) and start burning the paper without you knowing. So clean! No yacking and gasping for breath etc... So many people seem to think that if you hack it means that the herb is good, or strong... imo it means that it's not a clean as it could be. Our Sharon (when harvested properly) is some of the strongest herb you'd ever want - but when folks smoke our sharon, they hardly cough at all. But a few minutes later they're in the midst of a nearly 'hard drug' experience :wink: Clean! Delicious! POTENT.

Mostly in the head Nice sativa punch! The body is there too, but mostly because you can't move your body very well after you're baked

I remember the first time I smoked ECSD. It was al last year's "summit in the great white north" (search OG for the thread)... We had smoked probably 6 joints before the ECSD joint. By the time the ECSD joint was smoked up, I thought to myself, 'you're actually too fucked to drive!' Hahaha! I had NEVER felt that way with any other herb. It cut RIGHT through the other weed we had smoked.

As far as rating it with other strains for potency, it's definitely up there with about any other strain... ECSD's real quality comes from the combination of the potency, the superior taste, and the fact that the nature of the resins produces a nice, even burn. The resins are thick, and so when the herb's dried, a lot of the resin weight remains behind, for the heads to burn :smile: many (most) pot plants express a wetter resin, which translates into less resin left over after the herb is dry... That's why I personally consider thick-resined plants superior to the wetter resined-plants. :wink:

Comparing ECSD with a Sharon widow - well that's just not a good idea... There's MILLIONS of super kickass pot plants out there, each one of these elites has something different to bring to the table. Combinations of taste, burn, smell, look, and high keep things forever interesting for those of us who enjoy the very best quality smoking experiences - while accepting that variety IS the spice of life :smile:

So, ECSD kicks ass!

Any strain can kick ass if you select only the prom queen out of the group. Of course, the larger the school, the better the chance of finding a supermodel prom queen.

Would you recommend topping or training with strings? (i'd prefer the training.. just asking for 2nd opinion)

How strong is the smell in flower btw? Anything i should be worried about? Below or under average? (i'd figure a bit above)

Is it a smell that you can easily identify, "now that's marijuana goddamn"?

I have a lot of questions..

You can get something similar with the many packs of ECSD crosses Res has out. I'd suggest you try a pack or two of those if you're really interested. A lot of elites are becoming available now with S1's (selfed seeds) and crosses. Some of the crosses are gonna be better than some originals. At least thats the popular consensus for Jacki-o (a Cali-o hybrid)

I'm also flowerin some Ecsd right now and She's around almost 3 weeks right now!! Looks Very similair to yours!! Just hope my Buds blow up like yours!! I'd say it's a medium feeder.

I don't tie or top ecsd, I break her neck! When one branch becomes too tall, it gets a break in the stem so that when the bud tip curves back toward the light, it's equal to or lower than the other tops.

The smell is very pronounced, very marijuana-ish indeed.

Well, I'm about 6 foot tall, and these ladies (except for the Big Money) are up to my tits. The new Heads is out soon... Heads was asking me for a bio to put in their front few pages, so it's probably not out yet... Issue after this one is going to be Suddenly Blue, grown by my buddy Hot Cargo.

P.S. the group shot shows 3 ECSDs, 1 Big Money, and 2 ApolloMists (Apollo11XKali Mist, cross by Rezdog). The AMs smell very much like A11, which smells almost exactly like angels. :smile:
