I have hollow stems at times as well, I thought it was just a super highway for water and nutrients to travel up the plant...

Over in the Gorilla Bubble Thread, Tony was having some issues with hollow stems. He mixed gypsum in his mix to add calcium.... Problem solved..... i haven't done much research on it but it seams like a developmental issue with the plants.... I'm thinking it's not a trait or genetics related some plants have them and some don't. I have 6 gg4 at the moment and the least developed among those is the plant with hollow stems..... All cuttings off the same mother plant. That is also the plant that got the least amount of Calcium because I was hand watering to start with, and I was always a little short on solution by the time I got to that plant..... I only amended with calmag the first week of vege....

Had a bud offer me a few GG4 clones, asked for his 707 Headband instead.

I once read where GG4 can be a bit problematic to run for newer growers, and I'm having issues with a switch to ProMix so I figured I'd hold off on that.

Your lady's look fantastic.

Hollow stems from a unbalanced nutrient regimen during growth is totally diff than some strains exhibiting hollow stems no matter how they are grown. So yes both can be true they don't have to be mutually exclusive

Very true Critter..... I honestly haven't grown enough strains out to have really seen the genetic cause..... on my next run ill try adding some Gypsum and see if that cures the hollow stem with my GG4.....

Every single Darlins Net plant I had outside this past season had hollow stems. Still have 5 pack of seeds. Interested to see if the trait shows inside like it does outside.

I just run a few in my closet. This one came down last week, trying it out now, Devil's Harvest Strawberry Sour Diesel. Smoke is really way nicer than expected, she ticks the boxes, except density, she's in the medium range.

Got a Connoisseur Genetics SSSDH going, she's about filled in now, but here she was two weeks ago - about 28 days flower. Beautiful flowers on this plant, I'll try to update, she's about filled in now, dropping greasy bombs.

plan on doing 9 darlins in your tray set up , they don't bush like the gg4 does . so 9 will fill the tray better than 6 . might not need the net either , they hold their own pretty well . :tiphat:
