I played my timing right with the 1 gallons and it was all coincidental they appear outrageous and they’re holding tight for now In the backyard but I’d say they’re absolutely fully acclimated & ready to explode (((hopefully)))

40 years in the produce business and it’s always the same…let’s hurry up and get this produce on display…they do not care about taste…just as long as it looks good and we are the FIRST to market…each and everyone of those suppliers do it…it’s like they can’t wait another 10 to 14 days for a little more ripeness

I usually make 30 to 40 pints of salsa, couple dozen pints pickled jalapeños in EVOO, trays of hot cherry peppers with melted cheese and a pinch of anchovy that I have mentioned before, lots of sweet peppers with cukes and onions for my sweet pickle relish
Mother Mary, how long does 30-40 pints of salsa and a couple dozen pints of pickled jalapeños last you? Quite the garden!

Between family and friends usually from one summer season to the next…sweet pickle relish I make in quarts and get around 30-36 of those and they will last a couple to three years

So I did go outside around lunchtime to water plants manually and that’s all I could do…way to smoky

So I’m out there fucking around with 1 gallons and I noticed something awkward and weird I counted them up and I’m missing six someone robbed me of the sixth best one gallons and it could’ve only happened last night or when I was over working with cookie today this is not good I’m fuming mad I’m outraged and pissed off

I just can’t believe it’s just seems so unlikely that someone will take six pretty large plants from my own backyard in such a narrow window I’m always here cookies always here it’s probably me and my burnt out brain miscalculating but Stranger Things have happened..I refuse to believe that in a few hours when I’m away with cookie that someone would just sit on that opportunity it’s not right I’m gonna give myself the benefit of the doubt just believe that I didn’t have 30 gallons and I only had 24 1 gallons
