NepJam

NepJam looks pretty close to finished. Earthy, sweet honey/dirt scent. Seems like it is putting on the final push of weight and resin here, pretty fast plant. I'm still skeptical that it is completely done but it is day 50 and she will also get the flush along with the KCxOE and PCKs for the weekend view/chop.

I believe it will yield very well when dialed in. Still did pretty good after being beat up and abused.

Thanks for the support , yea its all a learning experience in here. I'm going to do a few runs of new strains each time to get an approximation of what I want to run again/their needs and then do some more directed runs so there will likely be more mishaps in the future to witness lol.

I think I would have fared better feeding at a rate closer to what I am used to and dropping it as I run into issues rather than being so sensitive to overfeeding and subsequently underwhelming them but the very sativa plants were pretty new to me and led to an overapplication of the things I had read.

In any case I suspect they will still be very enjoyable smoke and a good approximation of what they have to offer. Apologies to ACE/CBG for the poor representation of their wares; people would be well served to take this more as a demonstration of the resilience of their strains .

Thanks algreenery - wish I could have yall by for a taste when they're ready!

I pulled a couple popcorn lowers on the Nepjam at around day 51 to taste test.

The flavor is as it smells, a hashy, earthy sweetness. Of course this is with no cure dried right off the plant. Effects were surprisingly strong! A rush and fidgety legs at first that smooths out to a good "up" high. Definitely mood enhancing and energizing, with the latter coming through in waves. I had a taxing week and the night I vaped the nepjam was definitely my best. Enhanced sound and vision as well. More dreamy than centered. Its easy to defocus and lay back if you let yourself.

Will have a more detailed report later of course, but initial tasting has me looking forward to confirming its effects. I hope it does not lose that energy in the coming days - I plan on chopping some time this weekend.

The PCK on the right and the NepJam came down yesterday at Day 57 of flowering. The earliest ambers popped up on the nepjam, milky for PCK.

Decent little haul for the care put forth. I was surprised at the heft PCK attained with what little it was fed; I expected it to be quite low yielding from all the reports on it. NepJam is dense and put on a good bit of frost at the end there. Next run if same pheno I would chop this at day 52-54 and avoid any ambering.

Hashy blackberryish aroma for PCK and earth/soil and honey for the Nepjam. Both quite easy to control height with not much stretch, especially under these lights. I did not swap to 3000k as an additional precaution to possibly unmanageable sativa stretch but it appears none of these will have that issue.

Hi op nice setup you got there , I was wondering if u could answer me a question about your tent, are the vent holes in it big enough to take 125mm ducting ? I am considering buying that tent but I don't want to have to buy a new fan filter ducting etc and the stuff I have allready is 125mm, thanks if you can help at all.

Hey there, the DR60II (and the newer 2.5 I believe) model I am using has 150mm/6" venting. It can accommodate smaller venting because it has drawstrings on the vent ends to cinch down around any ducting or whatever else that goes through it so you should be good.

Wow! That NepJam plant is seriously beautiful, man. I would landscape around my house with shrubs of that if I could. What a beautiful plant!

Thanks y'all. The credit is all Ace and CBG, I just beat them up for a few months and chopped em down! Hush yea that nepjam ended up being a very attractive plant. I've always thought that cannabis would be great to breed ornamentally rather than for the psychoactives if legal with the variations in shapes and colors available.

I chopped the other PCK and the KCxOE last night, day 63.

The KaliChina x Orient Express proved to be an easy trim much like the NepJam. Great calyx to leaf ratio. Heavy dense buds, potential for a bigger yield for sure with proper feeding.

This PCK yielded better than the other one and had a fruitier scent profile, but not quite as heavy on the resin coverage.

Now just Destroyer and Zamadelica remain in the tent (along with the seeded buds of the previous plants still maturing).

While they are quite ugly in shape, they certainly benefited from the extra feed and threw out a lot of new growth. I'm going to dial it down a bit to prevent too much releaf/flowering at this stage. I may also cut the light to 11/13 and 10/14 to quicken things up in here and move to the next phase.

The Destroyer's first flush of buds before the new feed looks to be maturing rather quickly and the new growth isn't plumping in the same way so not sure how that will work out - probably similar to how the KCxOE did.

The zamaldelica however definitely still has a lot of time to go and is thickening up nicely now.

Quick update.

Destroyer got chopped on day 84. Lemony woody spice. Could have used a bit more flush so needs a decent cure.

Zamaldelica is siting at day 92. Still looks ugly but did manage to put on a decent amount of weight. Smells like creamy lemons in the vein of those kids scented markers. Lowers are looking done and tops are finishing up. Starting the flush today.

Hey there blynx, nah kept it at 12/12. They both matured pretty quickly without any extra help so I'm glad to not have bothered. I can't run again for a little bit as I need to resupply and clean up so I have some time yet.

Sup tleaf! As for letting it go longer you could be right. This was my attempt to rationalize the decision. The white immature pistils are from the new spurt of flowers that it shot out after I adjusted the feeding and the lower 3/4 of each cola were "done" to my liking at this point (I had sampled some lowers a bit earlier) and composed most of the harvest. The bottom of the plant is actually still alive, maturing the seeded bud and some random popcorn and it doesn't look like it has really swelled much more. Trichome maturity is really the issue then I guess but mostly/all cloudy is good enough for me unless ambering this over is supposed to be good like zamaldelica. Speaking of, I did try to make a bigger attempt to balance the maturity of the new growth and initial flush of buds on the zamaldelica and there is enough yield to warrant it but I wanted to be sure not overmature the destroyer. Of course this is my first attempt at these and I did already make a mess of it so take that as you will :D.

Thanks for stopping in klondike kid!

I'm gonna probably chop the zamaldelica tonight after having sampled a bit earlier. Sitting at day 99, a little over 14 weeks. Will return after the deed is done!

Well chopped zamaldelica at day 100. Bottom 3/4 were cloudy to slightly ambered.

Not a pretty plant but gave up the goods in the end. Week or so before chop:

They are dry enough to go in jars now, really nice lemony flavor that lasts a long time while vaping. We will see how they evolve as they cure.

Here's a tiny neglected destroyer clone that I flowered and dusted with a pinch of pollen that fell from a similarly neglected zamaldelica male clone (the weird squat one that seemed sterile). It seems like I might get a couple of seeds out of that cross.
rheQFEU.jpg

They cloned very easily. I just cut the branches, stuck them in coco, firmed the medium and they rooted with zero complaints, no hormones or sterilization or anything. This was true of pck, zamaldelica and destroyer.

I need to clean up this space and reorder supplies. Then I will do another similar round of strain tasting and finally go back to the favorites and attempt to do them better justice. I think I have a lot better grasp on how they want to be fed and I can be less hesitant next time around. I may try to wait out the hottest months here as well.

100 days, dang!
Girl looks nice, are you gong to keep a clone going til you start up again? or are you going to start from seed?

Thanks blynx, 100 days was pretty long but still a pleasure. I'm hoping to put a 16week+ type plant in its place the next run if I want to torture myself like that haha (CBG Ghana comes to mind...). No room to keep clones healthy at the moment so going to be popping seeds again. It'll put a wrinkle in things when growing the same strains, especially heavy polyhybrids like the zamaldelica but I've been hoarding too hard and they need to get used.

Possible next run strains:
Ace Seeds Banghi Haze
Ace Angolese x PCK
Cannabiogen Ghana
Cannabiogen Mextiza
TopDawg Stardawg
Reeferman Viet Hau-Bac
Tom Hill X-18

I'll get some nug pics and smoke reports up when they mature in the jars a bit.
