Inspect a bit. Powdery Mildew shows as droplet sized patch or patches on the leaves that look like tiny bits of cotton. Residue from water splash is more like a dried mineral deposit. Also bits of perlite or rock dust can get stuck on lower leaves that are close to the ground depending on what's in your soil.

Soil fungus is normal in organic mixes. Also could be some symbiotic connection between the GG plant and its volunteer neighbor. Something digesting the molasses probably.

Continued training the GG #4 clone as well as its mother today.

Regarding the suspected powdery mildew on the GG #4 mother, I'd love some feedback. As mentioned in the previous post, I wiped it down using diluted hydrogen peroxide-soaked paper towels. I think I'm seeing those paper towel fibers on the plant now, but @FletchF.Fletch said that PM can look like little bits of cotton. When I rub a leaf, whatever the white substance is rolls up like you'd expect paper towel fibers to. Here are some pics:

Any thoughts are welcome, and thank you, awesome community!

Continued LSTing the GG #4 clone today. Don't know if the MN Tangie clone is going to make it: it's not dead, but hasn't really grown at all. I REALLY gently pulled on it and it readily lifted out of the medium. No roots in sight. Might take a new clone soon if no progress is seen.

I lost faith in the MN Tangie clone. It was not forming roots, so I pulled it (just as easily as before) out of the pot and took another clone. Hopefully this one works.

I continued training the GG #4, MN Tangie, and Panama mothers today.

Gave molasses water to all the mothers as well as to the GG #4 clone and the 5 gallon containers.

Hey! What would ya like to know?

Heyyyy Dr.Mantis Toboggan!
May I ask how tall you want these to get before you flip them?

I've been training the GG #4 clone pretty heavily, so in practice, not very. See tongue depressor for scale:

My other 3 clones are still in party cups, so there is quite a difference in maturity between my plants. I'm planning on training all my plants around their respective pots, then putting them into flower. I'm trying to keep them low to account for the stretch. Hopefully that answers your question.

transplant from cups , N fertilize, flip 1212
boom , you have a small space you only need to veg but a week after rooting a clone, gg4 stretches , blue berry does too.
get it on 1212 already, they grow for another month after 1212 so you can train and bend them then

Thanks for the advice! The clones don't appear to be rooted yet. I also want to make sure that I'm maximizing yields, which would include a vegging period. Does my logic check out? Or would there not be a significant increase in yield by letting them veg after transplanting?

aeed , dirt , water , luggt , timer . don't complicate it. I sent enough seeds for a couple of years. find what strain ya like best then worry about cloning while you have flowers growing . Concerning yourself with yield will ruin your weed trying to up your yield. Learn to grow a plant without killing it and let it fade to a nice yellow. dry it slow , then trim it

And thank you SO MUCH! Do you mainly clone from the flowering plants that you like? Do you save some of your plant after harvest, or...?

I take my clones from the lower nodes that usually get cleaned up and thrown away anyway. I never ever take a main stem as a clone. I drop a seed grow it about 5 weeks then put it in flower and it will stretch big time , then I snip lowers and use those for cloning. only pure indicas need much veg.. the cash seeds I sent are very indica and kbubb is very indica, theothers are sativas.kbubb is old school indica , goldcashgold is new school indica , it's oreos bx1.

One concern I have is that I'm 1 for 2 thus far on clones taking root. If I had more confidence in my ability to clone, I'd be less scared of waiting until the mother is flowering to clone. By taking clones while the mother is in veg, it allows me for more of a buffer if I screw up.
