Well I've had stellar results and many keepers with Greenthumb's seeds over the years and the Iranian Diesels are $150 for a pack of 11, not out of line with many seedbank prices today, so I think RGD's comments are spot on

I think Dr. G's defenders nicely prove DF's point ... it's a marketing ploy aimed at the gullible.

I fell for it to an extent, was highly skeptical, but blew $200 on 6 Bubba OG seeds .... big beautiful plants with tiny buds, no flavor and no potency. Luck of the draw in action for $200 per pop ... Bodhi, RD and Archive all clean your clock dr ripoff.

Now comes oldsod to accuse me of being a bad grower ...

There are not Auto's in Iran ... Bet on it... 4 seasons ... Dank comes from the North part of of the country where its Green with fresh water... In the south is Desert...

Iranian Genetics dominate like no other in crosses... When I grew my first batch of OG x Iranian... I couldn't even smell OG in any of the offspring and only 1 plant kind of showed some OG Leaf pattern...

Fuck all this non-sense... Im going to Germinate 50 Pure Iranian Seeds and go soak them Chitosan... lets put scam artist to shame

iranian or not, its early, yields good and everyone wants more from it who got the chance to smoke it, so I'll grow more IDF in 2015. as much as possible cause its fckin potent and very easy to trimm and I hate to trimm.

I luv the structure of the IDF plants and the mold resistance.

its a perfect variety for outdoors and well worth the price.

iranian or not, Dr GT's "iranian" crosses are all real great. I say it cause I have a huge experience with different strains outdoor and I can decide what is good and what is not.

and it's not auto afghani... you can see on the leaves, on the buds and the smoke also not afghani like.

That's how I perceive it, why does everyone act like most strain lineage is based on fact? lets be real here. It's simply not the case, It would be a shame to know of a lineage discrepancy and sell it as if it were "True".

I try my hardest to keep things documented and factual but it is not always in the hands of the grower or breeder. We all get strains from outside sources right? just because I bought gear from a respectable breeder doesn't mean that there wasn't a small pollen "leak" which resulted in my favorite pheno of White Widow. I might call the the hybrid white widow x blueberry, but is that really the truth?

His "iranian" seems to be one of those plants that aren't appreciated until they can be grown in the proper conditions. There aren't many strains this documented that can perform like this one and be so early. Often times the earlier plants resemble hemp traits of low potency. Three strains for early outdoor plants that have it "all" come to my head, Guerrilla Gold, Freezeland and Iranian Auto. All semi-auto and very light sensitive strains.

So many strains out there have been through so many hands that growers and smokers can only guess at the heritage. I am just playing devils advocate here and trying to shine some light on the "behind the scenes" work.

Let your seeds speak for themselves if there good, and if there shit, then get your shit together and produce a better product. The more people see through this facade and the crap your pulling, the more people will feel ripped off, cheated and then come at your neck.

I have nothing against anything he produces, the more breeders and seed makers the better. If you don't like him or his wares don't buy them. Personally, his prices place him out of the running for my $. I've only heard good things about his strains though(ECSD S1's, Bubba OG and endless sky was a classic but I hear he lost one of the parents. I've just never seen pics of finished plants and buds that wowed me.

My apologies, my first words should have been to compliment on your plants, they do in fact look fire and I know she looks like she would be a keeper in my garden. Do you have a good amount of experience with different strains and breeders and where would you rank this one? Also any thoughts on flavors and tastes coming through in the smoke? Congrats on the successful grow!

So bodhi is genuine and honest with pretty much all his works but decides to lie about using an Iranian? I just don't get the logic behind this. It's not like Iranian genetics are in booming demand??

iranian landrace was from a good friend that says it was collected in the 70's and cultivated in the 80's, it's spot on og kush, but much lower yeilding and very lanky, could be the ancient mother line of the og's.

for outdoors IDF is first class... the buds not that thick like afghan buds but when fully dry its rock hard.

taste is slightly lemony with a little diesely in it, not sweet at all.

the high is heady and long lasting.

easy to trimm, nice big buds... you can hand trimm easily 2 pounds a day.

mold resistance is awesome.. I lost a few buds, around 1% by mold and the conditions was far not the best.

my "patients" also really enjoyed it. The smell is extra strong, stronger than super skunk, while flowering and drying. extra stink but in a good way I felt the smell around 100 metres far from the garden.

very unique strain but the smell is very risky.

I would say its similar in characteristic like Maroc from Female seeds, just better and much easy to trimm... Maroc landrace fem also flowerig from mid July and ready to mid Sept if you sow it early Spring. Maroc also very smelly but more leafy. IDF and Maroc are real good for outdoors if you want a quality September crop.

I sowed it late June so harvested in mid October, but flowered earlier than a lots of other strains in the garden.

would be great a maroc and IDF "side by side grow"

maybe at this year... I already have a very long list that what to grow for this year. It will be my 14. season outdoors and I grow around 10 differerent strains a year so believe me, I know what I'm talkin' 'bout.

Sounds good, I'm strickly indoor so wondering how they perform inside. Were these m/f seeds or FEMS? Did you make any F2's?

Forgive my ignorance but would you guys say Iranian strains would be similar to affie or afgan strains? My personal favorite tasting to date is La Confidential which I believe is a Affie cross. I saw a lot of similarities in my pre98 bubba kush but wasnt as found of the taste or yield in Bubba.

About 3 years ago, I ordered 7 packs of his pure Iranian...what's he call it?....oh yeah, "Endless Sky", which he states is his most popular strain. Seriously, this shit was crap of the most mediocre standard, loose, fine, weird-looking, musty-tasting, mild pot! WAY over priced!!! I wouldn't call it hemp but it wasn't at all popular amongst any of my people and I would have to liken it to some of the poorest quality pot I've ever ordered from anywhere, ever! I've been growing since 1976, so I really ought to know...

And in or out, it doesn't really perform by any criteria. I'm sad to say that I found it to be nothing but TOTAL CRAP!!! Do yourself a kind favour and save your money!

And by the way; watch out for new found supporters of his strains, it's likely to be the man himself posing as the innocent promoter. This seemed to be happening regularly on Overgrow in years gone by. The cheeky old bugger, takes us all for fools!!

Can only recommend being very cautious about trusting any of his claims about his stuff!

I grow from different clones and seeds from dinafem, sweet seeds, bodhi, humboldt, dutchgrown, sometimes paradise and dutch passion... from serious seeds of course and Dr GT's Iranian Diesel fem has a stabilized place in my gardens, just as Dinafem strains. and I aint gro' hemp.

some strains maybe overpriced, but price is relative. I think canada is richer than most of the countries in europe.. this is why the price seems high... they probably easily pay 200 usd for 5 seeds.

who knows... I can pay 150 usd for 10 seeds if I know that I can harvest at least 1 kilo high quality herb like last year and its easy to trimm. non leafy buds is very important for me, I trimm a lot in the last 10+ years and now I dont reallyy like to trimm.. I like weed but hate to trimm. last time when I trimmed G13 dominant killer queen, I lmost started to cry till I finished a pound.
