Nice roots!

You're going to like the 3L pots, I started in 3 gal and have since skipped 2 gal straight to using 1 gal (3L) pots. I don't think I'll ever need to go bigger than that either.

Looks like I'll be continuing on with the CocoTek nutes. I've decided to continue with the line because my last first grow was pretty sketchy at best, I had a lot of problems but I still managed to yield alright IMO all things considered. I'd like to see how it does now that I have some idea of what I'm doing. In other words I pretty much did everything wrong that you can do at first and it still fuckin worked. Tap water and all.

Good news though, I can finally start cleaning my area and setting up shop for real this time. I might start a thread about it.

Nice roots Sir,

I am glad u give the dual spectrum bulbs the thumbs up.

Having bought some light kits from Growell a while back they came with dual spec bulbs,
i threw them to the side because i am in the habit of running MH for veg and HPS for flower. How and ever as i am running on a tight budget this time the MH bulbs were switched at the 3rd week of flower and replaced with the dual specs, currently close to the 7th week in flower the girls look sweet, i like to replace bulbs after 2 grows depending on my financial situation. Do u think the dual spectrum emits slightly more heat compared to the HPS with the added blue in there?

Thanks everyone. And no I haven't noticed any difference in heat between a normal HPS and the dual spec, but I haven't noticed much between metal halide and HPS neither with the 250's.

C99 I have left 72 hours before feeding after the transplant, now I am waiting until tomorrow, so that will be another 48 hour gap, while they root these out. Dragon Fruit are being fed daily and need potting up soon. All still being fed 1.5ml/l A&B, 2ml/l Rhizo ph 6.0ish @ 19degC.

C99 - Day 26 above ground

Dragon Fruit - Day 19 above ground

All plants looking gooood. C99 is poppin! They all all look super happy.

Yeah they look healthy out of the tent as well, maybe 2 leaves with a mark on.

Lush mate, and looking nice and even in there!

The C99 look very uniform, almost like they are clones!
Peace

Yeah they are nice and uniform arent they, my plants usually are at this stage though, its when they start to flower haha.

I'm going to be germinating some bx1 myself soon so am keen to see what phenotypes you get in your packet.

You and me both oldbean, i will take cuttings next week, so I am hoping I find a gem.

Lush green growth & a super clean grow area! Good growing brother

Are you noticing any different smells from the c99 when you rub the stem? The pineapple & grapefruit phenos are easy to spot in veg

Peace

I will do that and report back later, I don't usually check for smells until late flower, normally when i brush one by mistake and it stinks the place out :D

eeeeeeek, had a b**b today, got some horrible light bleaching on the C99. Ambient temperatures hit 20degC so tent been a bit warmer than it has been, still was only 23degC tent temp, and MH was about 10-12 inches from canopy. Moved it back up to 16 inches, really annoyed how quickly they bleached! Was pushing my luck trying to keep them bushy

Must have jinxed myself when I said they were really healthy out the tent :D

Doesn't look too bad at all and nothing they can't recover from. It's annoying though, everything was perfect right? No worries everything is still in order.
How many watts?
I'll take another tip from you though;
Watch the HID transition. I'm moving some plants from 250w CFL to 400w MH, I'm.going to watch it. Probably start them 36" and move a few closer every 2 days or so. I've only got 5' of vertical space so I try to keep everything as tight as possible too.

No harm done really doob, what camera do you use? Takes good pictures!

I am just using my phone haha, its a Microsoft 640 xl. No harm really, just annoying, need to make sure that's the last time I do that, another good reason for having this thread as I forget a lot of stuff hehe

All 250's. I like my lights high until end of flower, I am just wary of stretch in these little tents. My advice would be if they are loving it at 36" leave it there, what I should have done. Problem is that my 250w distance would be too far away at those temps later in flower, smaller plants much more likely to bleach, **note to self must keep MH 16" distance :)

Here are some photos of the plants with lights off, phone camera flash

C99

Dragon Fruit, these have some minor bleaching as well from the CFL! doh!

DF are now under a new MH. These are the bulbs I use

I do own a SLR, but I have been too lazy to charge it, i will get it sorted soon once I use HPS, as my phone only good for when there is light source it can use

Potted up 12x dragon fruit into the 3 litre deep pots, binned the 2x tangies. I had some MORE light bleaching on the Dragon Fruit as temps here been hot. So i have removed the boxes and got the lights a massive distance now :D

Canna coco straight out the bag, only coco I have ever used

The 12x Bodhi Dragon Fruit, the tent smells all ready of weed plants

Mosca C99 BX1 getting a bit crowded, sooner they sexed the better, just winging it at the moment haha

Still feeding 1.5ml A&B, 2ml/l Rhizo, 6.1pH @ 20degC

Hey doob

That's a good camera on that phone! You know C99 is known to show preflowers on the 6th node??

You rubbed those stems yet? Lol

Peace

No idea about when to look for sex no, i was thinking in my head 2 weeks from now. They are on their 5th node, so hopefully be quicker, that would be good.

I have just rubbed the stems of the plants at the front of the tent, didnt think I would get much smell or smell variation if there was. But yeah, they smell good and all different. C99#3 smelt real citrus sharp twang, hope thats a female haha. When I have them out next I will be rub some others and see what they like

I have just got back from Ibiza, before I went away for the weekend topped the C99 and left both tents fed with some water in the bottom of the trays. Good news is they are alive, bad news is the C99 have over doubled in size and cant even support their own weight :D

So I have just managed to feed them again after a very messy weekend, and then I have flipped both tents. I will see what the next couple days/weeks brings before making any rash decisions.

nice to be home smoking a doob..

Yeah they have stretched like mofo's, I am growing some C99 bamboo haha. They are the size I would want them to be when finished, so will see what I can do with them. The dragon fruit are also really light coloured like they are underfed or have heat damage, so cant win at the moment. Experiment so far is going rather unwell :D

C99 supercropped and fan leaves removed

C99 bamboo, they grew 34cm in 4 days while i was away, and after they had been topped :/

Dragon fruit also supercropped and defoliated

Upped the feed to 2ml/l A&B

Should be an interesting couple weeks, i really need this sexed, feeding this many and the troubles I am having, maybe took too much on.

Hmmmm, well, shit..... I think your still good, just not according to the vision I suppose. Once you have them sorted you will have a lot more room to supercrop and fill some horizontal space, I'm looking forward to seeing what you do.

I had the lights 3 foot on 24/0 still. At 2 foot I was still getting light bleaching as ambient temperature is high here currently, so didnt want to leave lights that low, we had a heat wave over the weekend which probably didn't help. I have never seen a plant stretch after being topped, let alone double in size in just 4 days lol. I left them 26cm high, wanted to flower at 30cm, came back and the tallest was 60cm!!!

My issue here seems to be over crowding rather than light issues in my opinion.

I wont be doing any cuttings of the C99, they don't like being topped and way too stretchy for my space. I need to get back to growing 4 trained plants in each tent. Lost all motivation for both tents now as things arent anywhere near my standards
