From now on there should be consequences for those who oppose cannabis, just like there are legal consequences for those who use it. Oppose it and we will be on your case until you change your tune...

me likes this; just quote their demagogic bullshit and show them for what they are, opportunists cashing in and perpetuating this unjust war on Nature.

y are all you so upset with this? the longer it stays illegal the higher the price gets. why would we want it any other way guys? lets keep it in our hands not the governments! marijuana being illegal has allowed for us to create our own underground community. dont let these cocksuckers infiltrate your minds and make you think that legalization is a good thing. ya its good for them. in the sense that there putting there hands in our pockets...

If we just keep our heads on straight, watch our backs, and stay or our toes. we be good. keep marijuana illegal, and let us rob the government BLIND.

me don't like this at all...

change is inevitable though, so too bad for you.

"But for every dollar in state and federal alcohol and tobacco taxes that is collected, CASA estimates government spends $8.95 to clean up the often tragic consequences of addiction, driving under the influence, domestic abuse or illness. That's right: A dollar coming in; $8.95 going out."

so we make 1.3 billion and spend 9.3 billion to clean it up... i better put my boots on, the bullshit is getting deep around here.

Our problem is we don't put our money where our mouth's are. If we had a pool of stashed CASH to fight the same way interest groups are than we'd be really fighting. I don't think bitching here on a stoner forum is going to get our message out. It just informs us the MJ community to what's going on.
Lets start a fight the power fund and put on our own commercials and lobby politicians. Only way to truely fight back.
Think if all the dispensaries that were shut down in Cali did this than they might be still open???

This is it folks, the start of the battle against legalization. The first salvo coming predictably from D.A.R.E. You are going to see every special interest group chiming in if they stand to LOSE $$$ under legalization. This includes anti-drug groups like DARE which might lose funding if marijuana is legalized.

They're gonna be really busy for the next year. Washington, Oregon and California will all be voting on legalization measures next fall.

Do we really want this habit-forming drug easier to get, particularly as the nation has made significant strides in reducing illegal drug use?

serious?

The bulk of the costs stem from direct healthcare expenses. Imagine what a dent we could make in reducing healthcare costs if we prevented more drug and alcohol abuse.

They say this because they have NO clue. Cannabis LOWERS healthcare costs significantly. Cannabis puts people back into a state of being that allows them to be productive again. Many near-invalid people, on multiple medications, no longer take anything stronger than asprin and have been able to go back to work.

May I use your quote, sir? You make an excellent point. I am disabled now, but my medical MJ helped me to work & be productive, raise a family, etc., for 20+ years after my initial accident...

i live in the middle of nowhere...
good luck finding a local mmj group round here....

people like skip miller are the ones who will be crushed by the turning gears of progress and be left in the dust with his "prohibition friends"
high and dry....
you can tell hes scared, he doesnt want to lose his job..

i think everyone(mostly cops and people who should know better) who opposes cannabis should be denied when it becomes legal. fuck them, you cant have it both ways.....
i hope every prohibition-loving cop gets what he deserves. CANCER.
then i want them to come to my door begging for medicine and forgiveness. which will be promptly followed by me laughing..... and unloading my shotgun into his skull.

i aint go NO candy for you! NO CANDY.

when the left hook comes out, crazy motherf**kers get knocked out....

sorry if this seems harsh, but they would love to shoot up some "druggie scum" any day of the week and so for that i have no sympathy..burn in hell pigs.

People like skip miller need chased threw a village by an angry mob with pitch forks an torches. Then lynched up in front of everybody. I hate douch bags makin stuff up an spreadin their propaganda bullshit. My 2 cents.

This is coming from a guy who lives in Eastern Europe, and all I have to say is,GO AND VOTE.The more states you legalize it the better.
So researchers can start doing their jobs and giving people plain and true facts. So all the ignorant and retarded people who are miss-informed,clueless and so forth will finally see whats happening.
My country unfortunately is a copy cat type country, whatever the Americans try to do they try copying it aswell(they fail horribly at it).So I'm begging you,let them at least mimic something worthwhile like you legalizing weed :p
I'm sure others can back me up on this.

The World is counting on you.

- out.

It appears that in his down-time from writing propagandist nonsense in order to save his own salary he is also out there protecting other salaries: cops and bureaucrats.

"The article profiles the courtroom battle between Mr. Miller, who represented the City of Riverside, California, against a 1999 lawsuit by famed civil rights attorney Johnnie Cochran in the shooting death of a teenage black woman by police."

Nothin like kickin em when theyre down.

I was talking with 2 officers, 1 I have known for several years and between them they have 40+ years on the job and neither had ever been called to a domestic violence call and found smoking pot was the cause so stop using this in the debate to legalize pot.

I realize there are asshats out there but the only time I can see me getting violent is if ya fuck with my stash.

Please do! If everyone were aware of this fact we wouldn't have a significant number of current burdens on the healthcare system. Education is the key people.... informed people make the appropriate choices. Uninformed people choose according to what they're told is correct.

Stay Safe! :tree:

Legalization will bring many changes. One thing will definitely not change. There will not be a significant rise in the number of people using pot. Why would there be? If cocaine/heroin/meth/prescription drugs became legal would you go out and start using? The answer is no. Actually, if properly regulated, pot will become more difficult for minors to obtain. There is not going to be some kind of weed epidemic. Pot saves lives.

Anybody who opposes legalization does it purely out of self interest. Some people's earnings will be decreased/diminished when big businesses move in. Growers currently running production strains will be forced to cut their prices, up their production, move to more elite strains, or be crushed by big business. It's time for everybody to step up their game!

The Drug War is going to be like Vietnam exit strategy. Bad policy mixed with dying egos. It's going to be a messy fight and they are going to win some battles. They will not go down quietly. Being anti-drug is all these people have to live for. It's their lives, like weed is ours. They are going to fight tooth and nail and try and lock every one of us up.

This just means we have to fight harder against the fucking bastards.
