looking good in quick time Craven! If stealth isn't an issue I'd definitely put the res. outside the cabinet. It can get warmed up by the light right under it's shelf among other things. Mine does, but it's workable with only cfl's below & some tweeking. Most importantly You won't have all that water sitting above a bunch of elecrtical stuff like i do. That's my one peeve about my set up. I have been extra thorough in making the cabinet safe and reliable regarding that situation though. I'm sure there's a bunch of decisions I made in design that had to do with the autopots, but it's too smokey in the room for me to think of what those might have been. I really intended to (and may still) put more in my grow thread about designing the cabinet & how it works (that was super fun!), but I guess I lost interest without much other interest in the thread apparently. I'm not fishing for attention or anything but you might check it out since it's another cabinet with (well, the copies at least) autopots.

I like everything about the autopots in my cabinet. silent, reliable, 0 watts, no wasted water or ferts... Also I've been out of town for 4-6 days at a time 3 times now. I'm limited in time away by res. size (well, and general anxiety about being away from the grow) but outside the cab you could go as big as you want.

I have left the flower room for 10 days no issues also have the smart pump setup so res levels no issue at all one more week till i put the babies from the cab into the flower room then ill show you what i have been dialing in and i hope it all goes well in the new sealed room. I cant wait to get a split AC in there then it will be all done.

GH for the Autopot

GH for the Autopot

Got this from Jim but haven't use it. it is a bit different and meant for tomatoes.

Start with 50 litres of water
Your water may read PPM 51,pH 5.8-60 (EC-6)

1. Add water readings to your final Grow or Bloom figure.
2. Stir well after each nutrient part is added
3. Optimum pH should read 6.3

Table #1 Clone Phase EC=0.7
Light 18 hours PPM=637-722
Micro 28ml
Gro 28ml
Bloom 28ml

Table #2 Grow Phase EC=1.8
Light 18 hours ppm=765-892
Micro 100ml
Gro 180ml
Bloom 110ml

Table # 3 Bloom Phase EC=2.4
Light 12 hours PPM=1020-1075
Micro 100ml
Gro 90ml
Bloom 170ml

Table # 4 Final Bloom Phase EC=2.4
Light 12 hours PPM=1020-1075
Gro 125ml
Bloom 265ml

Thanks 4 the advice guys got the cab this morning not as big as i thought more like 3x2x8 still big tho i decided not to cut it down to 6ft
ended up pulling the hole thing apart to get it in the room took dodo5678 advice and reinforce it with 2inch self tapper screws and added a center brace for the top self. All that needs doing is to adding some shelves lighting and the ventilation and putting hinges on the doors.

Up date.

Done some more work today as u can see

Adjustable shelves,Adjustable lighting and added hinges on the doors a lot better. just need to do the fans and some more lighting

Looking good buddy, can't wait to see how you put that thing to work. Very impressed on the time it took you to get it up and running. How has it been working out for you?

You wouldn't credit it, i disinfected the flower room only to relies the baby's had mites from the grow cab. So my first job was spray dead Red to get them gone...and they are, will keep an eye out for the little buggers.Lets see how this one goes.

im using the large black bottoms with the twin tub pots as they are smaller and then wrapped 90cm flexi air stones around the bottom of the pots on the outside so they fit between the pot and the base so the window shades do two things keep the light of the little gap to stop mould in the water and keep the bases cool and reflect light oopps thats trhee things...

Autopotking -maybe having a ph issue with the big bud it is sativa so maybe requires a lower PH, at the moment my ph is set to 6 the Snow white look good.

What do u set the Ph at in your Autopot setup?

Yeh was just over there looking at it also i reckon a hand water with those for the first few days would have helped the roots hit bottom and doing there thing as the wicking does not work up very high with that medium. PH also you would be correct in that. I bet when the roots are at botttom and PH change they will catch/pass the others IMO.

Anyone have any experience with the smart dripper system? Lately I've taken to hand watering on the days that I can, I like the idea of the nutes travelling from top to bottom, I'm thinking it might encourage the plant to use all the media available instead of concentrating so hard on the bottom. I may be overthinking things here, but without a bubbler set up like yours I think that pouring fresh water & nutes through the coco/perlite will help pull fresh oxygen into media.

I'm not thinking of changing the set up in my cabinet, but I'm considering setting up another system & I a;ready have 4 or 5 extra smart valves. I doubt I'd save much buying the dripper trays & wicks individually (If I can) and I'm sooooo broke that it matters not anyhow. BUT I already have the smart valves & I think I can come up with something that works the same for me. I'm sure it'll cost me more in time and frustration getting it dialed in, but I dig the process and DIY always feels more rewarding. I'm in no rush to get started, but when I do I'll take pics and keep you informed. I'll probably shoot an email to Jim & see what the trays & wicks (& anything else I'm not thinking of) would run me piece by piece just in case it's too good to pass up.
