I smoked the sunset sherbet in '13, my last trip to the Bay area.
I thought it was tasty but not that impressive in the buzz as the cookies.
in some ways Stink Panties is the same. the high is nice and functional but not as good as forum or OGKB 2.0.
I have not had them side by side but Stink Panties is the loudest thing I've smoked or stuck my nose into.
people were freaked out by the intensity of the smells coming from my jars at the HT Cup.
I doubt that most folks ever get to smoke gear that goes longer than 8 weeks and almost never smell herbs flowered under MH.
the best part was when they wanted sativa effects but they didn't want to try my ECSD because they get Diesel "all the time".
I would open the jar and stick it in their face and ask if this was what they were smoking?
not one of them recognized the smell of the real thing.
when I walked the show saturday i smelled every jar I could get my nose into and it was all basically the same, nothing but hay.
I found 2 jars of OG kush that smelled sorta legit and bought 1/8's of both. the genetics were good but almost no smell or flavor.
have not finished either of them.
so many people pulled out really sweet looking gear to show me that just had no nose.
I know the jars of untrimmed bottoms that I had on display had no bag appeal but they were loud and the real thing.
one problem with social media today is that folks are voting on gear based on how pretty it looks but for me I go by smell and effects
and that just isn't always pretty and it's never profitable if you are in the business of selling.
as far as the Gelato goes someone came up to my booth at the cup with an eight of Bachio Gelato or whatever from some cali folks who were vending.
the buds just looked amazing, ridiculously attractive. he twisted one up and it was the worst tasting crap that I had smoked since the year before when I bought forum cookies from a vendor there.
I mean it was so bad that nobody wanted another hit.
God knows what #cookiefams Gelato tastes like but it didn't sent the world on fire in the bay area.
it was entered in the SF cups and Emerald cup too but no wins and no hype from buyers, just the creators it seems.
that Sunset Sherbet I would want more of and would love to get a cut. the terpene profile was intense and flavor was super!
when you get to try the OGKB 2.0 and Stink Panties I think you will be impressed by the way they coat your mouth and stink up a room.
I think you can tell the parents well in the ScoutBreath and GorillaBreath crosses but there are many that bear a strong mark of CookieBoi.
he's bringing lots of cherry flavor along with skittles and some solvent smells that are intense but not like the OGKB 2.0 or the GG #4.
he's also making some phenos into short dense plants with lots of frost.
he also is producing the mutant traits when crossed into the Glue that involve weird shit in the middle of the fan leaves.
