Oh I been grinding out the planting, still lots of digging and raking and compost hauling for mulch..
my body is way beat up now but hoping it will pay off in 16 weeks.

first in the ground was a Blue dream about 5 days ago.
picture.php

I'm up to 20 in the ground now, room for 7-8 more maybe, I could expand it a bit more.
there's 6-7 feet between stems and I figure/hope they will grow into each other all the way.

I put 5 into 10 gallons also.

I'm mulching over the top and planted cover crop on some tonite, hoping to be done in this patch by the 15th,
last year I started planting the last week of June and finished July 15th, I'm a full month ahead with double the soil!!!

as I build out the mounds on the left I scrape out the extra soil between the plants on the right.

Can't find my fucking pump from last year, hauling 30 gallons or more in buckets from the stream everyday is getting old and no rain happening here, it's hella dry.

my mounds look to be 1/2 to 3/4 yard each I think.:dance013:

Super Silver Haze is taking off and cookieboi on the left just getting left in there untill mid July then cloned and chopped.

Im so jealous of having a plot like that. Hard work and it looks like it feels good at the end of the day. I work hard every day myself but not on something that cool. Be glad you have this much fun every day.

This version I've got kinda looks like the pic from post 4, How long should I let them flower???, I've got a few pretty good size, But the bigger ones look nice. I've got a HPS so I posted on my thread the clones. But I've got a very young one I put into flowering when it was young. It's the small plant in green bucket up here around the other lights. I'm just wondering a time frame, Its looking like 70days at least 12/12. I smoked some awhile back it kinda reminded me of a sweet fire OG or something.

I take plants down little by little the first time so I can figure that out, maybe pull a few grams at 7 weeks or so and then more every 4 days untill it looks done then let it go some more.

I took iit a bit easy today, hauled in 3 wheelbarrows to mulch on top of mounds and watered, sculpted my mounds and moved some of the dirt around evening things out, so dry but the plants are just getting going.

had temps in the low 30's last couple nights but nothing ate shit.

OG's don't look happy but they will be groovy in July.

I think I might get way bigger plants this time if my soil works...

on the right hand side of my patch near the trees the soil mix is deeper on the left near the weeds it's thin and I didn't till it near the weeds because I made it wider than I wanted last year.

this was the 1st plant in and basically just had to dig a hole, put the plant in along with a bunch of EWC and Mycos then rake it into shape.

in most spots I rake back the prepared soil and use a digging bar and shovel to loosen up the subsoil layer and mix it in a bit.
picture.php

you can tell when you hit the subsoil at my place cause the color change is huge.
picture.php

along the tree sides I had to dig out lots of roots and you can see the color change.
picture.php

pulled up some big rocks too with the digging bar, these are really great tools for gardening in the bush.

yesterday I drove all over before I found another 12v pump.

most of the girls have rebounded from the transplant, some have been in for a week.

Corey Stardawg, super stoked to run her OD this year, my favorite Chem and I've not had her in a year or so...

got the pump and hoses set just before dark and watered in my much and cover crop seeds.

It's been crazy dry and dusty since I mixed in all that perlite and rice hulls, almost 2 weeks without any rain here.
So glad I can stop carrying water, my back is just fucked right now.

I'm headed back down with a couple joints of ECSD and Headband and I'm going to sprinkle more cover crop seed and try to get a few more plants in the ground.

I've got 21 in the ground now with room for 6-7 more maybe, 6 more weeks to veg and I'm hoping the patch will be overflowing with 100 fewer plants in it than last year.

So when I trucked my first load of mulch down today things were looking dry again...
picture.php

when I was watering the mounds in I started seeing the cover crop popping, this made me very happy!

I used 4 kinds of clover and lots of cilanto seeds along with 3 kinds of basil and plenty of mesclun greens. some carrots, dill, peas and I'm forgetting a bunch.
picture.php

after I spread the mulch around I tilled up the last 15-20 feet of the plot.
you can see where last years space runs into subsoil that's orange, last year I scraped all the topsoil from that area onto mounds.
picture.php

going to try to plant out 6-7 more mounds here of the stuff that finishes last, GMO, Forum, Wedding Cake.

everything really is doing great and the weather is fine! 85% of the plants are track the sun and looking ready to blow up and there's a few that were in poor shape that are still kinda stressed.

this year I potted the stressed rootbound and overgrown plants into 10's and filled the mounds with mostly small healthy-ish plants that were in 1 gallon pots.

OG Kush supposed to be the original but my first time flowering her this year.
