Dood! how you been??? what's the hot clones in your stable these days?I would definitely get the bulb guard for the bare bulb DE CMH ive seen alot explode big fire hazard
Lots of people complaining about those cheap chinese aftermarket bulbs. Read the amazon reviews. Either getting bad results in yield/quality from the spectrum being off or they burn out in a month or 2.
I was looking into getting one of those 945w SE bulbs like the one you posted. They have them at the grow shop near me for $200. When I asked the guy at the counter about them he said word is they pop often from being used with 1000k ballasts.
Can't beat the Philips bro. You really that cheap?:

I've got 2 fire extinguishers on the ceiling and they warned about the same thing with the Horti no UV shielded 1000's that I always run bare.
I like the resin with no UV shield so I will wait until I see what happens when one blows, those big 1000's will scare you when they go, lol.

there's panda up now because the drywall isn't finished yet but I don't think I'll have anything in the room that would catch fire from a piece of hot bulb when I'm done.
many grow rooms are covered wall to wall with plastic or foam insulation that could light up very easy, or rubber floors...
this is the best room I've ever had and it has a window that I can throw a big banger into in the summer, definitely don't want to burn it down.
I've totally been growing with extension cords everywhere in the past but I'm stoked to have a dedicated 240 line for my ballasts now and plenty of power for the future.
19 openings to grow into...

those 945's are for old style magnetic ballasts according to the seller.
when I have money to spend I'm not that cheap but not selling my flowers means trading food money for grow supplies now so I'm pretty cheap.
20,000 hours on a Phillips bulb equals 4 years of 12/12, I don't want to trade that for a month but time will tell...
there are almost zero reviews of the DE 630 bulbs on Amazon, couple good , couple bad, one exploded in a 1000 watt fixture and a few people say they work in a Gavita.
couple sellers on eBay who have moved 60 or more of them have positive feedback but no real reviews.
you can see how the prices are falling on eBay and if you cruise Alibaba it's shocking how low and varied the US price is on canna lighting.
I'd prefer if all my shit was made in Europe, specially my car, fat chance, but I have a Chinese budget these days.
the quality of the light to my eye from the $50 DE seems very similar to the 315 CMH Phillips bulb in my Nanolux fixture, but it's way more bright.
I need to be convinced that the herb quality improves switching from MH to CMH so imma compare and contrast.
if they just throw more weight I won't be happy.
the light from my MH and CMH look very different running side by side and colors are VERY different under the two.
What brand are the $50 DE cmh bulbs? And where were they listed? On what site? I love my cmh’s!
Thanks Chunky!

I'm steadily working on my clone only stable. The 2.0 finally landed and is currently in the dome as is some arcata train wreck, and hammers firestorm. I've also got a nice blue berry, forum cookies, gg4, chacos ecsd, gluetang #3 and a lavender x powerplant. Chunky I've got that 1 630 cmh nanolux over the glues and I think you'd like it. It's not making them super stretchy like the hps and they seem to be liking it a little more. Plus it's easier to spot deficiencies with the spectrum compared to the orange hps...
Dankwolf I've got many other kinds I'd rather run So she doesn't get ran in full trays often but here was my last full tray of her I ran. About 2p from 23 foot n a half tall plants. View ImageView ImageView Image
