I have a buttload of new stuff getting tested in the closet and I'm getting lab tests on pheno's of the latest gear when I head back to the Mitten in a few weeks.

I tossed all that pollen on other clones besides the OGKB 2.0 so there's lots of fire getting ripe this week!
I'm getting better at making ripe beans and after sorting last week I had 10K + nice dark ones from 10 strains sorted.
I'll be making a hard run at Arjan this winter, he better be bringing his A game 'cause I'm packin' dat Fire, feel me?

any advice on making more viable and ripe beans?
There are gang of 'breeders' out there who would shoul be asking this question, sadly it doesn't seem important to them nowadays!
In '08 I visited 22 countries/islands in Central America and only found one bag of weed worth breeding with and the seeds were crushed.
It's the dark bud that's my Avatar.
Im sure there's better bud than what I found but really the fire comes from the U.S. because of the twenty years of medical selections that have happened mostly in Cali.
We are at the point where millions of lungs have vetted the clones that are going around and agreed on what's most effective.
I think whatever was going around in the "landrace" countries I visited and smoked was probably great for recreational use but not for my level of illness.
Pollinate earlier, or less. If you over pollinate they will never get dark no matter how many weeks they are on the vine.
If you are working with clones you can get lots of huge dark seeds by pollinating them before they are flipped and they still make great smoke.
You wind up with a couple nice seeds in each bud and it's great for a non commercial project. Doesn't affect the quality of smoke.
It's easy to over do it and make many pale duds.
I have had kind of a rough learning curve since I've been trying to do full plants but I'm taking notes now and every strain has its own sweet spot.
I've seen a few folks post pics of pale looking beans but are you buying seeds that come in looking like bunk?
Not all strains make the same looking beans but immature is pretty easy to spot.
I have not purchased and grown out more than 20 packs myself and I bought then at events or dispensaries where you could man handle them.
It would blow to pay big or small money for un ripe beans. I've given lots away because some work and I was too lazy to sort them before I gave them out sometimes.
Those Aussies will pop anything anyhow....
I'm trying hard to make good beans from the best gear that works for me.
I want to make the beans you would want to grow if you had no access to the best clones.
I'm not going to brag about the quality of the beans I'm making until I have test results from my testers and the moms.
I'd like to find at least one plant in 20 seeds that would have 80% or better total cannabinoids as what was in the mom.
It would be great if half of them were that good or if one plant was 10% better than the mom but where are the seed makers showing you test results?
The big breeders could certainly afford to test and document their gear but would you believe them if they did?

Had a couple people asking me to post this info when i had it , so .......
got a final weight on the 12 2.0's i ran for the last 10 weeks .
first 6 were taken down at 63 days ..... 730 grams .... 26. 07 oz's
the other 6 were taken down at 71 days ...... much better than the 63 day batch !!! frostier stickier & much denser !!! 848 grams ... 30.21 oz's
56 oz's off 12 plants = 4.6 oz's each plant ...... not bad if ya ask me !

i had 2 plants on the far side that stretched up into the lights , the rest stayed just below , but didn't get much top bleaching like i usually do .
everyones loving it so far & most have only smoked the 63 day batch , the 71 day is still sitting here lol .
i don't need smoke for pain relief , i need smoke for my insomnia . & this is helping , but its not the cure all i was hoping for . it does have a nice relaxing buzz , good for chilling at night .
