So. I've done it again. I've made two very small incisions along the sides of a young stem, in the hopes that green tips would emerge. Sure enough, it really does seem as if the young London Loud seedling that dropped it's cotyledons with it's shell, is going to become a plant!

This is the same thing I had to do with the Chem Sis x PK seedling, because it's cotyledons were just stuck together, as if one and I was able to split them and the plant was able to grow as normal. I'm glad I did too because she's gorgeous. LOL.

London Loud - max of 11/12 possible. One seed that had germinated, went to mush. My fault. Too wet, I guess. Another had an extremely thick shell and has been shaved till crack and replanted. Another, is actually just giving a tap root and stirring the soil.

They are just slower to germinate, but they are coming. 9/12 so far, and waiting on two.

If the seedling in the far left row, 2nd cell, doesn't show progress, I'll knock it's cotyledons off and proceed to make incisions along the stem.

This is awesome. Thank you. I have had to manually assist seeds in opening, usually works for me. But I have never done anything with the ones that pop up like this and its happened more than a few times. Not even going to try to remember which seeds in particular because it always hurts a bit to fail a purchased seed.

perpetual in no till beds poses more of a logistical problem than a structural/biological one imo. what size containers are the plants in before moving into the bed? solo cups, 4” square nursery pots, and half gallon containers are all small enough to be transplanted into an active soil bed without doing any massive damage to the established microbiome.

after harvesting i use a serrated knife or small spade to cut out a similar size and shape hole to the incoming transplant. i usually cut out around the just-harvested stump and use that as a handle to remove the whole chunk in one piece, but it would work just as well to saw out a hole anywhere in the bed you wanted. i often chop a plant, hang it up, do a quick bucking, then turn around and do the transplant protocol i just described within the same 5–10 minutes.

with a perpetual bed the biggest obstacle is shading out from bigger older plant neighbors. staging your plantings in zones according to speed of ripening and structure/habit will ensure new transplants have some open canopy to grow into without going all leggy.

i always thought glomus intradices formed associations with cannabis roots, no?

i have not grown out the sssdh x snowman. i did grow the gg4 and (edit: ) OGx crosses.

@Heady - you did GG4 and OGx. Glomus does form with canna - the only one that does perhaps, but they changed it's classification.

How I feel about Gu~ - is 100% responsible for my hesitation on the HGLED lights. As much as I don't want to bring a company down, I'm 100x more worried about supporting an entity that calls the fucking PO-LEASE when things don't go their way.

I have a reputation to uphold. I have a following, I'm becoming aware of, annoyingly enough. My GREATEST responsibility - is to myself. To be true to me. My values. That is only heightened by those, who such principles resonate with..it reinforces the notion that perhaps, fighting the good fight is worth it, even if 99% label me as a controversial ass hole. I'd rather have that 1% real to surround myself with.

I really hope I'm not alone and in left field on this matter....

That's why I haven't sent a safe addy for those lights yet - because I can't wrap my head around that.

AT THE SAME TIME - any other normal business, using possible "influencers", would say the same if they didn't live up to the agreement, so maybe the sour face only exists because of WHAT we do...

And even then, to play in this field, you accept a certain sort of disconnect exists.

If someone breaks into my house and robs me - I can't call the cops - I'm a grower. That's how it works. For a vendor to not grasp that, is....hmmmmm...

yeah,if you're happy with your current setup DF than honestly i wouldn't bother,led's aren't some sort of miracle light,they are an excellent solution for small spaces and if you have heat problems.....but...there's no getting away from the whole pi r squared thing...your screen game needs to be tight for them to produce on the same level as a regular lamp of the same wattage...i love mine,they have gotten me through the summer even though i screwed the pooch on the first run,and i will be getting another quantum panel from horticulture lighting group when their veg panels come out...


but even if the hydro grow leds made your dick bigger and grew nothing but tightly rolled hundred dollar bills i still wouldn't give them my business...all the wild bullshit claims with never a shred of proof...somehow turning a community college 2 years business degree into being the top spectral science person in the world and a horticulture degree...


10 minutes of googling will find you enough info on the person behind hgl to scare you away or at least be extremely wary...


the whole sub forum here has been heavily edited to take out any dissenting opinions/post and some of the crazier shit hgl has said here. the side by side grow against the horticulture lighting group led is being done by someone who sells hydro grow leds so sorta biased...
