gmanwho i was just listening to “the pot cast” interview again with CSI and he says he sprays 2 weeks before flip. The day of flip and then every week after to keep it a male. I think that’s what my plan will be.

I’ll make sure to document it here since this breeding is under DF.

Might make a new thread showing the STS recipe and the step by step I used with pics

Hey ICmag. I'm @PiffCon this weekend in Queens. Holler! It's going to be a crazy event. I can't wait to blaze more of Piff Coast Farms Harlem Dreams. That is a great selection. Pifffffffffy all day.

I have a room full of Karma Genetics BH#7 x A5 vegging out for a mono crop under the Mars Hydro FC-E6500. I hate things weren't in the cards for me to have a round done for this event, because she is everything everyone talks about when the word piff comes up. I couldn't be more stoked about this plant in terms of how varied haze can be, I got extremely lucky to have this pheno come from so few seed. It really is a lottery.

Wait until you all see this girl. Once proven , I'll not hoard her. Karma shared the genes to be shared, not locked down. Let those that know confirm I'm not nuts, then I'll let this Topsail Haze free.

PiffCon was incredible. An absolutely amazing event and experience. Asher. SpadednFaded. It was awesome to meet you both, F.A.M. I'm still sort of in awe and left a bit speechless.

I'll have to make a post soon about all the new new. Some real fire genetics added to the library.

Until the update, know all went well and it was truly an amazing event. PiffCoastFarms made it nothing short of epic. Sitting at the hospital now waiting to get some blood work done. Should be about the end of the road for this type of thing!!!

I want to tell some stories - but I want to start with Swami Organic Seeds.

I don't know if I met Gascan or not. I don't know if it was him behind the table or a rep. I didn't ask and I didn't mention who I was when I looked over things. I do know - that it took every fiber of my being - and a slight nudge from F.A.M. whispering in my ear, PROBABLY, in the exact right moment, that really ensured I held my tongue. I promised Piff no drama too.

It's recorded here on the forums over the years, but I've not had much nice to say about Gascan or his prior alter-egos. I remember when he used to joke and make fun of anyone who grew anything remotely modern and how he said he needed to create a persona - aka - "Swami Kushendz" - to get the kids to smoke something different and would mock his perception of the hype beast type consumer and grower. I never really appreciated that general tone or disregard for those who I have always viewed as A.) either a part of a broader community or B.) been grateful for those very said people - because let's be honest, it's an industry now and who doesn't love a loyal, repeat customer. The general disregard for anyone who didn't share his line of thinking to the point of the need to make a mockery of them - just never settled well with me.

The larger issue, stemming from an organic soil group. His "ROLS" charade was nothing more than a rip-off of what I was trying to accomplish in my own garden personally, that I WAS NOT READY, to make into a consumer product at the time, because it was still in development. He bastardized my idea, and his soil mix NEVER WORKED RIGHT - thus the need for the foliar feeds and enzyme waterings, etc, etc, etc. It was straight down to using a four letter acronym because I had shared consumer research studies showing the effectiveness of using such when remembering things. I had used these same principles in the past...

Bubba Kush x Grape Krush - "BKGK"
Carolina Blue x Digi Bx1 - "CBDB"
Ken Father x (BKGK x Digi Bx1) - FBPK - fruity berry purple kush

Natural Selection Pharmaceutical Botany: Full Life Formula - the "NSPB mix"...

It was a pattern I had used for YEARS - and he intentionally took it, morphed it - and bastardized it - with his "ROLS" attempt at making himself the single and sole authority for all things organic soil.

As much as he sneered at High Times and those who read it's pages as being ill-informed and the blundering idiots of the cannabis world, he was more than willing to be part of a write up directing all things to him and his methods. He even tried to loop others into this fiasco, by graciously approving of them as authentic, authorized, intellectuals, worthy of being listened too - only so he could keep face that it had nothing to do about money or his ego...

I'm not making this up. I took screen shots of this shit. Agenda 3 - Secrets? LMAO.

I lost all respect for that group and I started posting publicly against the derision and divisive nature they had manifested across the Organic Soil Forum. When a moderator of said forum suddenly had his VERY private garden busted - and PMs started going out to members recruiting them for another forum that wasn't full of all the idiots at ICmag - LOL.... that was the eventual slow demise of the ROLS group and Gascan and his wife here at ICmag.

When I saw he decided to use "Swami" as the name for his seed company, I thought for sure he just must be scamming and secretly trolling the community who is willing to buy whatever.

I DID NOT BUY THESE SEEDS.

They were part of the VIP gift box.

I also didn't tell the man behind the table, if it was in fact Gascan, that I was dank.Frank, and no beef, but I had always wanted to say it to your face - you're a crook and a piece of shit.

I'm also glad I held my tongue. Because honestly, it was better - watching the lack of action that booth got, and watching how frustrated and just fully over it, whoever was behind the table was, by the end of the event. It was also quite fun being pitched too - and I must say, it was quite lack luster. The word "heirloom" was muttered and loosely tossed out there, but aside from that, it was rather low energy. It honestly did feel better, to just not give a f.u.c.k. - Thanks again, F.A.M. - good timing. Better than you know.

The Swami booth was set up right next to JJNYC and the Top Dawg crew. Naturally, I was passing through there and chatting. That's F.A.M.I.L.Y. It was...not easy...but I'm glad I held my tongue.

----------------------------

The reason I post this - is to post fact - and to make a point. This thread has always been OPEN SOURCE. It is information driven. There is no Item Line #3 - there are no secrets. I've shared openly and honestly how my mix has been built and put together for going on 15+ years. The results I get in a water only garden have been and are STILL being replicated by many more growers than I will ever know. The updated mix I made at the beginning of this thread...is THE BEST...soil mix I have EVER used for water only production of cannabis. Period. It works. That simple.

I'll continue to share openly and honestly, my experiences with this plant and the people who grow it. I have no hard feelings against people. Shit happens. But I don't need to be pissed on twice to learn a lesson. I do feel an obligation to share my experiences, in the hopes others either avoid the same or enter into it a bit wiser than myself - less fool hardy thinking everyone who grows the plant by default must be a good person. I've had my wake up calls over the years. I just sincerely feel, Gascanastan, was one of those.

To BE FAIR - at some point. I'll grow the fucking seeds. I'll post what I find. I'll give an honest, unbiased review. If I'm wrong about the genes, I'll admit it. But to be honest, I have my doubts as to the authenticity and as to the ability of someone to choose an elite type plant who so adamantly refuses to try anything made past the year 1994, thinking it's all watered down hyped up bull shit. That's cool and maybe it is but what good is your opinion if you haven't TRIED IT.

So I'll hold myself to the same standard. I'll grow the damn seeds - but they certainly take no priority.

Private Breeder Seed Co - Kush Mints #11 (Rapid Hippy cut) x Gorilla Haze
Words, Wicked Sowa, Funky Specimen - Limonana Haze #4 x 1979 Thai Stick
Dynasty Genetics - Oregon Silver Lemons
Brothers Grimm - Golden Pineapple x Hazy Kush
Peanut Butter Piff x Heaven and Earth

These were all part of the VIP pack as well. Various seed numbers, but still some interesting gear all the same.

If I'm not mistaken Kush Mints - ie TK x Animal Mints - ie Jungle Boys...is the same seed line "Wedding Cake" was selected from. I'm not an expert on the Rapid Hippy cut, but I have seen it worked into a few different lines by various breeders. I'm told things taken to the Gorilla Haze make some bats - so I'm interested in seeing what these could hold.

I know very little to nothing about the Limonana Haze#4 - I'm assuming it is lemon banana - which does sound appealing from a terp sense, but I have no clue the genetics involved.

Oregon Silver Lemons - I saw a sample of and it did indeed look like and smell like a good sativa leaning cross with a more lemon - less Jack - terp profile. The SSH F3 male could certainly be seen in the structure of the flower. Had that "amnesia" look - as most EU folks would call it - but denser.

Golden Pineapple x Hazy Kush - was in Green Bodhi packaging with a Bros Grim sticker. Said 10 seeds, had 5. hehehe. My girl and I got a kick out of it. Very fancy packaging and a lot of material effort for 5 seeds. I've not researched the lineage involved, but I'm NOT against pineapple terps. Like real, true, old keeper C99 terps...lol. Not sure that is there any more - but it is only 5 feminized seeds. That is easy enough to sneak in a seed run along the way...

Peanut Butter Piff x Heaven and Earth - well, that's not REALLY all that package said...lol. I have no idea what these seeds are. Below the aforementioned title, it also lists - Dosidos, Mendobreath, Headbanger, OGer, Haze - So I'm not sure if that is a description or if they are mixed pollen to a peanut butter piff mother clone - or...what exactly the deal is. Seems - adventurous...LOL.

AK Bean Brains - Santa Cruz Haze x (A5 x NL5/Haze)

Relic Seeds - Cough x [Cough x (TK x NL5/Haze F2)

There is a story behind this one as well...LOL... THIS, was a lot of fun. Not going to lie. I felt like I was in an RPG video game and this was my side quest. Keep in mind, I'm blitzed out of my gourd on haze right out the gate. We started the day smoking on some Cereal Milk we picked up in DC. Then transitioned to piff s2 thanks to Spaded the minute we got to piffcon.

My canna vixen is a haze head no doubt, so SHE is the one who got the VIP package. We looked over her seeds - and instantly I saw a problem. Having looked at instagram, I knew AK Bean Brains had put 4 or 5 different packs of seeds in the VIP kits. I didn't know if they were all included or if they were being given out at random - it was at random. The pack in her VIP kit was - TK x NL5/Haze - imagine NOT wanting that...LOL.

I knew there was a pack made with the Santa Cruz haze - but I did not know what the father was. Only saw it used the SC Haze. In my experience, the ONLY time I have ever seen that plant used, or the only reason I know it exists, is because of the Blue Dream cut. SC Haze x Blueberry. I've never seen it used or even really referenced in any other line. Knowing my lady enjoys Blue Dream, I figured it made sense to pursue another cross with her as the mother...

So I started asking those with VIP boxes what AK Bean Brains cross they got in their kits. This lead to many confused and some what suspicious looks and conversations the first 5-8 or so. I decided to ask the Gene Traders guy a question and followed his advice. I went to a vendor, but struck out. In the process of such, I was over heard by Professor P of Dynasty/Relic Seeds. He was curious what I was trying to give away and I told him TK x NL5/Haze - but not because they are BAD...but blah blah. Then, noticed he had a jar labeled "Cough" and I asked him if that was the Ft Collins cut, and he confirmed, he had held her for 20 years, etc. etc. That lead into an AMAZING conversation that went on for about 30 minutes. By the end of it, he reached into his back pack and handed me a pack of his new Ft Collins Cough Bx1 v3. You'd have to do a bit of research, to understand fully, but the Cough x (TK x NL5/Haze) is a joint project between him and AK Bean Brains. They've been working and improving that line for years.

By him giving me the Bx1 v3 - he was essentially making the pack of TK x NL5/Haze I held - even slightly more irrelevant - and really set in stone my pursuit to find the SC Haze cross - whatever it may have been.

So I left with my pack of Relic Seeds Cough Bx1 v3 in my pocket - back on my side quest - having some how completed my long time side quest of gaining some form of access to the Ft Collins Cough. See - Cough - sits in a VERY unique place in the Phylos Galaxy. It and only ONE other plant occupy that particular region of documented plants - and DNA Genetics had it entered as HPH - ie Hash Plant Haze. Because of their isolation from the clusters of the more modern gene sets - it can be assumed they might give rise to new, unique and interesting plants if integrated intelligently back into some of the modern gene pool...

It took me the entire rest of the day and no less than maybe a total of 25-30 conversations to not find a single person who even had a pack of the Santa Cruz x ... it was about an hour before the end of the event and I had all but given up. Many of the VIP people just grabbed their boxes and left rather quickly. Then...two people, late to the party, sat down with their VIP boxes. I think it was F.A.M. that pointed them out...and I took a rip off the Mav glass and went back to my side mission...LOL.

After about a 20 minute conversation - and the cost of a trade and the nutrient kit that came with the VIP kit - I was handed what it was I was seeking - a pack of the Santa Cruz Haze x ....

A5 x NL5/Haze - I even had to stop the guy and tell him the truth - wait - I didn't know the male, but that is likely a killer line. You may not want to trade those. He appreciated the honesty but was good with the trade still. MISSION COMPLETE!!! It really was immensely satisfying to get a pack - after all the effort and having pretty much struck out all day.

I'm honestly pretty stoked to see what the seeds hold.

Does anyone else know of any other lines, aside from Blue Dream, that utilize the Santa Cruz Haze clone? I'd like to research some more...

Man, for a long-time lurker, this thread still excites me. Always look forward to your updates dank.frank

As far as the SC Haze lines, Ak has the sc haze x m48 f2 available right now.

And side note on the Golden Pineapple...Professor P claims it's a renamed Ice Queen which he uses in a few of his crosses. I've run a Kiwi cut (Ice Queen x Blue Heron) for a few years that is Ice Queen dom and it's a beast of a plant. I'm sure it'll play well with that Hazy Kush.

Professor P is a great dude, glad you got to snatch some of his work. I've been curious about the Consumption / TKNL5haze lines. Had a shit time germinating one of AKBB's packs (my own fault) but am sitting a pack of Lemon Dumpster from P (Oregon Lemon Diesel x Consumption) that I'd like to get into.

So did piffcon and the haze revival change your direction of strains you were planning on running this year? Oreoz, FAM stuff, etc?

The next two are really more of an "if you know you know sort of thing"...

Piff Coast Farms - Harlem Dreams - is an isolated selection from Cuban Black Haze x Blue Dream - what I imagine could just be called 2020 Purple Haze, as a seed line. My understanding was the intent of the pheno was to find a color and bag appeal that would interest a new era of smokers in haze and in particular, the isolated "piff" profile. Well, the Harlem Dreams - does all of the above. It is piff to the nose all day long - and to leave a room and walk back into it - you get hit with one of the BEST haze smells ever. It really is an incredible phenotype that smokes true to the name sake of "piff". The high is clear and focused and long lasting - but still has the increase in color visuals I've come to enjoy about the high of Blue Dream as well.

The 1/8th of Harlem Dreams and the Harlem Dream S1 seeds from Piff Coast Farms - is pretty much the motivation for my lady to get the VIP kit. That's how much she enjoys that particular smoke. In fact, it's about all she wants to blaze on.

Later on during the event, Piff shared some Harlem Dreams THC diamonds with us - and I'm not going to lie - it's quite epic the increase in flavor those things can give. Not to mention the potency. Quite the experience!!!

-----------------

The next thing was sort of a shocker to say the least, but is sort of what makes going to things like this in person, so very worth it!!!

I was speaking with JJNYC - and I had already once over'ed everything he had on the table. So I pick up the jar of Jane Doe Kush - you know, the mother plant to HP13 - and start chatting with him about it. We're talking about smells and he has me mush a nug...I notice it's seeded. We're talking. Finally I tell him, I'm trying to behave, but I'm distracted wondering what she was seeded with. He says, oh - you see seeds?! Here...and starts digging a few out into my palm. Says it's a small batch from a stardawg male.

Sweet. 5 mature. 1 immature. Color me excited. I had been silently watching him post about it on insta. After the event, come to find out the Jane Doe seems to be a 2:1 CBD:THC plant...and her THC levels are around 6%.

It's an interesting piece of history to have a few seeds paired off to, is all I'm saying. I felt the same when growing something paired to the famed A5. It's just something you never expect to hold in your hands, in terms of a genetic sense. It makes those individual meetings and conversations at events that much cooler and worth pursuing.

Cannabis is fun. Piffcon was legitimately very well done. It had the right vibe going. I'm really looking forward to next year. I hope to have "Topsail Haze" ready by then. No excuses!!!

I appreciate the good vibes - and that's a good question.

Nope. Not at all....!!!!

My canna vixen is a haze head - and I'm certainly giving credence to that by exploring more of that side of the equation. It's still not...ME...at the end of the day, but I do understand the place a PROPER haze - notice I'm not saying sativa....lol... - has in the rotation. I'm not finding these to exactly be the standard "daytime" smoke. Yes, they are up - but the Cuban Black can take your legs away from you and leave your jaw hanging as you gaze into nothingness....lol. It's good smoke for sure. I do understand it now - over the last 8 months or so - more so than I ever did before.

But I'm still forward march with my plans. I'll be sticking a haze in the corner from time to time to keep certain jars full though. That's for sure. I've always wanted more TRUE F1 type genetics. These hazes, from a gene pool stand point, offer that much more than other offerings, given their dated heritage, in most instances.

I want to keep working on core base medical indica lines for the time being...I need that sort of relief in my arsenal. As fun as it all is - I still need meds at the end of the day.

@Tokerzdream - welcome to ICmag. It's a great place to kick it. This thread is picking up a lot more this year...

In fact, I just spent the entire day, more or less, reading though my own thread...LOL. It holds a lot of memories!!!

The last round of clones was FAM95. I have 15 rooted and vegging away now. That's going to be a good room. 12 BH#7/A5 are vegging away. I have a few GMOGG4 in the cloner as well, that have roots. Would really like to see them set heavier still...

I'd be happy if the 2nd room was all FAM95 and GMOGG4 and the 2nd room all BH7/A5. That is the goal, ideally. Run with what works.

I'm really angling to get this ABF Siberian Sherbet #4 in the rotation. She's a work horse as well. Maybe not strong enough for my headstash rotation, but everyone else will love her, and she is stupid tasty. She is - Sunset Sherbet x [Grandoggy Purps x (Banana x Limon Ix)]. Grandoggy Purps is from
ojd and Banana x Limon Ix is from Swan Song Seeds. Cross made by Abja Roots
of Always Be Flowering.
