But can we not agree that there are universal goods? Good that all agree on as in our best interests? Health for example. Everyone would appreciate a body in good health.
If there is a universal good concerning politics and government, why are the polls split 50/50? America seems to be deeply divided on what is good for America. How can either side write off the other when the numbers are so big? You can't ignore that many people.
When there is a massive bias in what once was the MSM, the P Diddy compromised stars, the Epstien compromised elected officials and the Deep State, all in lockstep repeating identical phrases telling the sheep that the wolves in the herd are actually just there to help, you get a mass formation psychosis that affects the weak minded. Abortion should NOT be the sole issue swaying voters when the world is basically burning down but so many are so blinded by that issue(which is actually decided now at the state level as it should be since it is not covered in our Constitution). Unfortunately, women are 50.1% of the population and they have been told falsely that the last administration struck down Roe v Wade when it was actually the Supreme Court that threw that issue back to the states which ironically makes the issue decided more democratically(since the chant has been ‘Democracy is on the ballot). That is a big factor as to why polls sit at 50/50. Another reason is polls are largely answered by low information citizens who seem only too happy to answer phone calls from people they don’t know. I don’t know a single person personally who has been polled. My social circle is conservative and most do not have time to speak with ‘caller unknown’. They are too busy working or tending to their homes and family(the important stuff)…

Boston showed me true Yankee "me first" thinking -- At the intersection, each car had pulled up to the middle, forming a swastika of cars.

SOMEBODY had to back up. Being Boston, nobody would, and nobody could <-- Because cars had pulled up behind each of the swastika cars, preventing anyone from backing up.

I've been all over the world. Bostonians are worse than Parisians for driving .
Rhode Island drivers are the worst(with CT drivers a close 2nd). They drive 10 miles under the speed limit until you try to pass them then they drive as fast as possible to prevent you from passing them…

Moanday

Started @3am power goes out in half the house. I go flip breakers, power comes back on.... About 7:30am the power goes back out. No amount of breaker flipping did anything. Break out the meter and check voltage. One leg had 122v ac the other 60v ac. WTF. Dropped a leg. Go to the main breaker and test for voltage. Got full 122v both legs. Shut off all the breakes in the house and do a load test on the wires. Found one leg pulling about .05 amps. Had to dig up the main line to the house. Found the spot where the aluminum power line had burned through. Repaired it and the power is back on.

When I was digging up the line I found water. Since it had just been raining the past 4 days. I hoped that it was just from it. NOPE. The water line that we put in 5 years ago to the RV was leaking at the valve. Get to fix that in the morning.

I'm guessing when we put the water line in, we nicked the power line. (next to the water) With all this rain, it finally burned through. That is the reason for all underground power lines are aluminum. As it will burn in two instead of just arcing to ground like copper would. A good safety feature.

That's not all that happened. I went into the barn to get some parts and found that the boy left the door partly open last night. This aloud the cows to get in. They went hog wild on the seeded plants I had hanging in there. Plus, they ate 6 of 42 marked bags that had seeded branches/buds in them and knocked down the drying rack. That had random seeded buds on it.

To add insult to injury. They :poop: everywhere.

Just a lovely day...,..,. Time to get hammered.

that's one reason I like my superduty...I have an engine brake(jake brake) which lets the truck stop on it's nose...I've been whacked by aggressive drivers not knowing how fast a big truck stops...my hitch stops 'em flat... ;)
