my friend got home from out of state last night and we wanted to get his basement warm because we were hosting a party... I offer to go cut kindling out of logs to get the fire started (choking up on the axe and cutting bits out of the log) but about halfway through when I throw down the axe I didn't quite move my hand away in time...BASH right into the fat on my thumb.
I dont have insurance and dont have a lot of money because of bills and yadda yadda.
basically I wanna know if this has happened to any of you cats that can direct me in the right type of healing of the wound. It definately needs stitches but so far I just had some friends squeeze the wound shut and put some "new skin" on it and some butterfly bandages.
the wound is about an inch long and 1 1/2 - 2 cm deep.
any info would be appreciated because I work with my hands A LOT!!!
thanks T
