Guy from ledideal.cz has told that there is no reason to use uv and ir in leds, no effect after we all read much info how its important. Only reds 660 doing the work, ) i know its not direct answer but when they tell you need extra uv and so on maybe its a shit. But personally I will try cmh with leds for thíse type of sativas 😃

CMH gives some UV... but I was asking about leds and their light spectrum. if it is true that sunlight in tropics is more blue, 450 - 490 nm, then 660 nm doesnt seem so ideal. but I am no expert..

thanks for response. I am sure you can recommend me some good lighting, but my question was more about some special lightning for tropical plants. Do I get it right that you dont develop any specific lightning for these tropical cultivars? which need different spectrum of light than indica hybrids. what is the spectrum of those fc series? similar to tropical sun? thank you.

edit: I get that not many people are growing tropical cultivars indoors, so probably it is not so interesting for producers of lightning, correct me if I am wrong please.
The spectrum is full spectrum, universal (our engineers tested the finalized ratio many times through customer feedback), suitable for planting various types of cannabis, and we also recently released UV and IR light strips that can be used as supplements according to planting needs . We will also consider lamps that can adjust the spectrum according to market demand in the future.

...i mean that red660 is necessary and very effective..instead of iv and ir leds, its already tested out...i saw here some very nice big sativa buds with that leds with red... light with some good ratio of blue is very good idea to keep them bushy (cmh has also a lot of blue) . I used some blue light for aqariums for small mothers and cuts and it was very nice structure, 10 internodes from 15-20cm cuts was no problem :) dont know how blue will affects buds

Tropical Boogie week 10. Looks like these will be done between 13-15 weeks at the current rate. I cut back half hour of lighting today and will cut back another half in 2 weeks so by weeks 12 they will be on 11 hours to help them ripen. Plant#1 smells like Mr Shine (pollen donor) and plant#2 has a mix of the hazy dad and a sweetness that must be coming from the Kona side. She also has a plastic-mango-fuely smell that is really nice. Plant#3 has more of a sweet fruitiness with none of the hazy attributes of the other two and is the most productive of the three. Plant#3 may also be the 1st the finish but I'm gonna let them go till they are completely done.

tropical boogie day 90. I have been away from the garden and had someone looking in on the girls in my absence. Plant#2 was cut down the day before I returned and is currently hanging to dry. the remaining plants #1,#3 are just about ready as well. Plant#1 has all cloudy glands with quite a few amber showing and a few dark amber here and there. It will be the next to come down. #1 smells sour and with a metallic smell and a touch floral. Definitely smells like a juicy woo I grew out so the contribution must be coming from the haze pollen. Plant #3 was more productive and stayed shorter but the glands still show some clear heads among predominantly cloudy heads. Maybe a few amber glands but few compared to the clear heads. I plan to let her go another week and then check. #3 smells of tropical fruit (mango) with some sweetness. The #1 plant is not sweet at all...it has more of an astringent herbal smell. Although I didn't take a current picture of the #2 plant I did take a sample at 10 weeks and had some after a quick dry. Very smooth floral/mango taste with a quick onset of effect. It is energetic, a touch racy but nothing crazy and euphoric. Aside from the initial head pressure it tightens my chest but it doesn't make me anxious or nervous...obviously needs a good cure but thought I'd mention my initial experience. I took about 2 joints worth off #2 and smoked each down to my fingertips...really tasty and effect is my kind if ride. Good duration even without cure of about 2.5 hours easy between hits. All my plants suffered a bit this cycle as I was in and out frequently and there were periods of drought and then wet medium but the boogies were stable and plowed through any displeasure they suffered. These were grown in small containers 1.75gal using homemade compost and recycled soil. Below are plants #1 on the left and #3 is the shorter fuller one.

The green apple pheno of the Chocolate Funk was chopped on March 15th '23, so 5 months ago.
My wife has tried the other phenos and wasn't overly impressed compared to the Mindblower, maybe because of the pheno or curing time, who knows, but she had a joint of the green apple the other day that I've had hidden and she couldn't even finish it!, which is unusual for her :p
I don't have clones as I'm indoors and have limited space but I know what to look for now. We have a winner :D

great to hear you found potent pheno... like I said many times sour mango/chocolate pheno of choc funk I got was one of the strongest and trippiest pot I have ever had...

there is difference between mindblower and chocfunk, while mother of MB is inbred, mother of choc funk is just cross and not inbred. so choc funk is three way hybrid more than F1, thats why there is more phenotypical variation... but killer phenos are there.

it is interesting you say green apple, it seems you have similar nose to Toms nose :D hahaha... I would say it is citric, but he likes to say green apple :D so I am sure you got citric pheno. if you like that, pop acid beauty, there are more of these phenos than in choc funk.

Sadly I don't have any acid beauty, but I still have plenty of other strains to try :)
I would just like to report, with regard to the green apple pheno of the Chocolate Funk, my family don't seem to be building a tolerance and the girls have been smoking it for a few weeks solid now, except before bed, 3-4 times daily for some weeks and it has the same kick EVERY TIME :)
If you get the strong green apple, sour mango pheno KEEP A MUM!
