BHT holding it down brother! these people who voted no should be held responsible for thier views..the ones who actively campaigned against it...well..those scumbags will get thiers in the end...i obviously cant help you out, i dont have the patience to deal w people like that...greedy or stupid...dems da choices..either way...fuck em...keep it going bro...:moon:

What about the 90% of 18 - 29 year olds that didn't go to the polls, FUCK THOSE SCUMBAGS TOO right?

Should the HUGELY lazy majority be held responsible, or only those that chose to exercise THEIR rights?

It didn't say structure, it said space. As in, don't sit in the same room as your children and blow smoke directly in their face. Are you one of those people that think that a whole apartment complex would be banned from consumption because someone's kid lives with them in some unit, somewhere in the complex? This is honestly a moot point, because any parent whos not a complete fucking idiot wont smoke around their kids regardless.

Lets watch what u say that can disrespect a lot of paretns as I know I started smoking the great herb at 14 n was smoking and enjoying my time with my father at 15. N he is in no way a complete fucking idiot. I'd like to call u names just for saying that but it isn't worth it.

But here this one is for you cuz obviously theres a stick in your ass :comfort:

Except 19 was a nothing-to-lose win/win situation. Your analogy is far from comparitive. I'm still awaiting to hear a single valid argument that isn't purely based on speculation as to why 19 would have been a bad choice. Care to enlighten me?

It did nothing to release former offenders. It would have continued putting people in jail for cannabis. Win/win my ass.

I don't see what this has to do with Dennis Peron.

I think he came out in favor of 19 towards the end, but even if he didn't do we really need to "Fuck Him?"

I don't use meth or X and won't however what people do in their own homes is none of my business. Arrest them for stealing or other crimes that effect a third party; but this PIG force against political activists is UNCOOL and older than time itself.

----did he? what i had meant to say was......

----and this is what concerns me....though why after? he certainly was not a driving force behind 19...

first of all: even if every voter between 19-29 voted for prop.19 it still would have lost.

second: you can teach your kids about mj use. just like ive taught my children that because I drink and smoke (not in their prescense) that its for adults and can cause seriously negative consequences if misused. when i said EXPOSE, i meant that as DONT EXPOSE YOUR KIDS TO MJ SMOKE. i dont understand any parent who feels the need to sit next to their children and light up a fat joint and i have an even harder time believing that anyone who would WANT that freedom even has children to begin with.

This thread makes me sad.

Why, why are we fighting amongst ourselves? Why are we dividing further up into pro 19 an against 19 after the election is over? This is what the conservatives want. We will never achieve legalization in the future with a divided movement. Now is the time to forgive each other for past wrong doings, or wrong votings, as it were, and come together. We need unity, not division, or we will get crushed like bugs.

Like it or not, it has started. The persecution of cannabis users in California is only going to get worse, medical and recreational. And if the conservative swing back continues and Obama gets voted out, get ready for an nationwide crackdown. One of the writers of the mmj bill getting taken down for child porn and meth? They are setting the stage for the public to accept wide scale dispensary raids and shut downs. Do you not see how the medical backlash has already begun?

Whether or not Peron is guilty, this is just the sort of thing that is used by the press and politicians to marginalize a movement.

Please, put down your pitch forks, and unite, or everything is lost. It may be cathartic to say "I told you so" and laugh from the sidelines while all this is going down, but do you want to look back and remember that as your role in this critical time period? Yes, it blows that 19 failed, but do you want to set the stage for the next legalization bill, or join the conservatives who voted against 19 AND 215, in cheering from the bleachers as they shut down mmj?

Really if the missing 90% of Californians 18 - 29 all showed up and voted YES 19 would have still lost?

If so why the fuck are you riding this community so hard?

Its like saying slaves and slave-owners should be friends.

You have half of ICM who wants legalization so they may grow, share and enjoy this plant without fear of arrest. Then you have the other half who has made this illegal industry their only source of income and are willing to fight tooth and nail to make sure it is never legalized.

19 has taught us that there will be never unity in our culture over legalization.

the misinformed group....

So if my largest concerns were people being freed from prison and not being able to get back in there for cannabis, I should have still wanted to vote for 19 which does neither?

I also see the part in the bill that defines hemp as marijuana and will tax it accordingly.

I don't want to vote for that at all.

If a bill came out that looked like it knew what it was doing I would vote for it.

19 was a step in the right direction. if you expect 70+ years of reefer madness and social stigma to disappear from 1 proposition/bill you are naive or delusional. If 19 had said it would free all mj prisoners, people would have jumped on that boat and sank 19 faster then rosie o donnel in a swimming pool with rock shoes.

Like I said, to get to the legalization we want, its going to take comprimise, cooperation, and patience. One step at a time my friend. One step at a time....
