arrested two soldiers who shot up a church meeting "sorry we were drunk"
and released filep karma, who has been in jail for ELEVEN YEARS FOR RAISING THE WEST PAPUAN FLAG
just yesterday, benny wenda met with desmond tutu.... POVERTY STRICKEN AFRICANS give more of a fuck than all the united states......
they are trying to make this shit happen.
and just to continue the "fucked up shit" i started on a few pages ago.....
why am i so interested in west papua?
earlier this year, i started hearing this sound, wherever it was noisy.. "a bit like the teacher in charlie brown" mwa mwa.. mwa mwa..
..it became clearer with time... eg. i would hear this in moving air..
..then i saw it. women chanting "papua... papua.."
for fucks sake, talk to people about this. freeport mcmoran totally fuck up indigenous cultures... first they poison them... then they "reeducate them" by "scholarships for young people to become business leaders..." great, rape my land, brainwash my kids..
and all america can do is buy supersize slurpees.
talk to people you meet. talk to your family and friends. let them know to do the dumb stuff.. report the social media stuff so those numbers look like something... when you see freeport mcmoran doing things in your part of the world, let people know they are ass rapers, and that "business leadership education" for young indigenous people might actually be kind of fucked up.
now, if that's not enough, i can repost the guy with his head macheted into slices
or the girl, still wearing a catholic school parochial skirt, whose body is still identifiable after being burned to solid ash
or the story about the boys who got shot in september? hanging on their porch because their parents were "troublemakers"
or the similar examples of these from the month before, the month before that, or the year before, going back, and back
so that you can buy some copper and gold stuff in your cellphone and shit.

I have a hard time getting past our Newtonian end of things.

I'm pretty sure that if we ever develop the ability to go 1/10 the speed of light, if the matter is settled democratically, we will vote not to expend the energy because we need it to light our cities* or something.
In other words, once you get up to rocket science speeds, it is very difficult to make things go faster.
It is true that we would find ourselves in a very different world 'on the other side' of the speed of light (faster than 186,000 miles per second).
But the only thing we've ever detected that goes as fast as the speed of light is a photon ... which is sort of a theoretical construct anyway.
