Both sides have their own hoax journalism. The last few years have been a liberal(NOT LEFTIST) meltdown over fake Russia scandals and other madness, but just a few years back before that the other side was doing the same thing to Obama. Attacking the partisans is a great tactic to drive people into picking one side or the other. So both sides have learned the mutual gain that comes from allowing the radicals to run the show. Unfortunately we don't really have an actual right-versus-left in this country so much as we have one team that openly embraces greed and corruption versus a party that quietly embraces greed and corruption.

This is how I see it too.
Universal issues: control of our food systems, health systems, housing systems and electoral process...all of which are controlled by the small percentage of people siphoning the resources of the country and the world. We are forgetting what autonomy even feels like.
These issues are avoided or obfuscated at all costs. The Occupy Wall Street movement was presented by the media as a bunch of lazy grifters wanting a handout and brushed aside by politicians. Quite a contrast to what we're seeing now. The money and power will always protect the money and power by changing the conversation back to something divisive. Wedge issues.
MLK and Malcolm X were both killed, not for demanding civil rights, but when they started talking about economic change. Think about the implications there.
We should really think twice before turning on each other. We're being played by smart people who spend time and money studying human behavior to maintain dominance.
