No, these aren't from Kwik Seeds, although if anyone has grown those out, I'd be curious to see if they're the real deal.

Some updated photos of Deep Chunk showing the classic gigantic fan leaves. My plants are grown in part shade, so they're a bit etiolated and look different than if they were grown in full sun. The previous pics above were taken when they were just taken out from under grown lights and placed outdoors. When under lights, the internode lengths were very short, but now they're very long:

I got the deep chunk from kwikseeds on the way it's a reproduction done by the real seed co so i think they're going to be legit, I'm going to grow them out & cross them into my existing deep chunk that i have to preserve the linage better i may get KOS version as well.

Well my package came today with green tape & a note inside by customs its not kwikseeds fault but this whole thing is just so stupid its not stopping or helping anything! especially in a state where its already legal yes i know it's illegal federally but thats just as stupid with in itself. This is the last overseas order i'll ever make again since its happen a few times before & you have to keep your fingers crossed & go through your week worrying if it'll make it, its hard to source deep chunk & landrace strains sold with in the US so i took a chance but never again i'm sick of this stupid bullshit.

There are a few strains I wish I'd bought seeds of back when I was buying seeds (pre 06), Deep Chunk is definitely one of them.

Well it looks like KOS is located in Oregon so maybe I’ll place an order with them soon they’re more expensive but I think I’ll have a better chance of getting them and not the green tape. I contacted kwikseeds and hopefully they can send them again in a different kind of packaging....now for the wait.

a friend is growing this Chunk D Hashplant for the second season now and got the seeds from Greatlakes.
I remember the deep chunk well from growing tom's original releases and these seeds are worth a look. My friend says it has NL5 in it but I haven't seen any of his plants from seed express any NL phenos that I've ever seen. All his plants from seed look the same too as the line has been bred to express the deep chunk genes. Looks, smells, grows and tastes like old school deep chunk to me.
I'm going to grab some for next year while they still have some in stock. My buddy killed all his males or I would be over there collecting pollen and dusting branches for some F2 action

Love these pure bred lines. I grew the Deep Chunk back when Tom Hill was releasing it. Glad to see interest in stable lines again. It's about time

It's also a "bait and switch" tactic: you think you're getting the real deal, but you end up getting a spin off. When you know they're being dishonest with their photo, it's a gamble to trust them and buy their gear.
