this may be too narrow for all types of communication
you're thinking aliens, the possibilities are much wider
I'm thinking not aliens, at least not in the usual sense
it's not talk but there's a message
and it's a message we don't understand
The side of the containing message of the phenomenon is my favorite!

Assuming, if an advanced non-human existence wants to learn our languages, it will be easy for their A.I. to find out about it on the Internet, TV and Radio.

But simply addressing humans in this way can fail very quickly. Suppose “they” were to hack our Internet, TV or even our cell phones to send us a message, who would believe it?
Most people would dismiss it as a fake and this mission would have failed.

Equally risky (as a first approach) would be the selection of several influential people as mouthpieces. Although you could address the various cultures and ethnic groups in this way, you would have to go through their political and religious systems. This would distort the message, and it would also be difficult to choose WHO would deliver the message, because there are no influential people without their opponents, which would lead to a major rift and possibly even turmoil. So that would not be a promising idea either.

Of course, they could just hang around with their mothership in the air to show “Look, we're here! ”
From our movie industry, we know how to react to something like this: “We have to fight the alien invasion and mow everything down, whatever the cost...”
Of course we wouldn't stand a chance, we're not in a movie. But the chance of peaceful contact with the entire population would also be gone.

We could spend hours imagining scenarios. The question remains on a personal level: “How would you like to be addressed by non-human existence?”
Many will say: “Not at all!” because it doesn't fit in with our collective beliefs.
_____________________________________________________________________

Let's look at the facts and see what this phenomenon is currently triggering in us.
Most people are badly surprised, irritated, annoyed, overwhelmed and scared.
Only very few are happily surprised and are waiting calmly to see what happens next. Because: so far there is no danger.

But most people want an immediate solution, the best thing is to shoot down the drones, throw those responsible in jail and never let them out again. That's how we've been dealing with things that bother us so far.
That's not a good thing (for a contact), but it's just the way we treat ourselves as a collective when something is unknown: with reserved or open hostility. The patterns of fear are widespread, and who can blame us, we mainly have this imprint in the supposedly modern world.

Either way, Non-human existence must therefore first overcome the level of hostility before any further communication can take place. Humanity as a whole needs “proof” that it is not dangerous.
_________________________________________________________________

But the most important question is: Why do “they” want contact at all?

What comes to your mind, why would contact with us be worthwhile?
What would change in your life, in your belief system?
In which ways would you need to develop further to learn to accept this fact?

The phenomenon therefore also reflects what each individual carries within them!

communication is the word of importance here, so far communication isn't happening
here's a thought, what if it's communication without words or language?
humans do it all the time with dogs, no talk but there is understanding
dogs are a special case since they've been created/bred by us
but we do this with wild animals too
what if we're dealing with something(s) that don't talk?
quite a mind twister but shouldn't be ruled out just yet

i suppose if a ufo can travel through space and time the inhabitants could most likely communicate telepathically and on many different frequencies.

If you think about our eyes, they are an organ designed to receive elctromagnetic radiation. We could most likely also sense and/or interpret other frequencies than visible light.

Communication used to happen before words or language as we see it today was in place. Abstract images, glyphs, etc. A single point should be considered the first communication.

Most images convey meaning and hence communication and have done since a mark was first created in the dirt.

If you want to delve deeper into old abstract images and communication i suggest taking a look at rockart.

i'm pretty sure we already have the tech to implant messages in the brain from far away, e.g messages from helicopters in the ultrasonic range... You thought i didnt realise?

definitely in the direction I was exploring
I was speculating that they haven't spoken to us because they don't speak
telepathy would be a game changer, hadn't considered it

Cats have been doing this to rats and humans long before the military figured it out..

‘hungry cats looking to be fed by their owner contained an unusual high-frequency element (akin to a human baby cry) within their naturally low-pitched purr. With these ‘solicited purrs’, domestic cats are effectively tapping into our own nurturing instincts to give them attention.’

Not necessarily evil intent though..

‘studies have examined the potential of low-intensity vibrations in healing mice wounds. Although the exact mechanism behind how the vibrations assist healing isn’t understood, scientists noted it promoted the growth of crucial granulation tissue – connective tissue and microscopic blood vessels – around injured areas.’

Someone I know had a heart attack and says his cat just sat on his chest for months after purring really loud, he’s sure the cat was trying to help.
Hopefully whoever is flying these things has some kindness in them.

Eta. what would cat noises do to a plant? Pretty sure I read somewhere about deep base stimulating mycelial growth, it’d have to be tested in hydro as well as organic to be sure it was affecting the plant directly. 🤔

Found a device for anyone with heart problems, drone anxiety, or who would like to experiment on their plants that has cat allergies or dogs..

Given the helplessness of the authorities and the military, the probability that it is just a bad joke by hobbyists is extremely low.

I consider US defenses and their available technology to be among the most advanced in the world. That something unauthorized the size of a small car can fly over restricted areas is normally not possible.

Logically, common droning regulations are inevitable, provided that they protect the freedom of citizens, both in their use and in the protection of people who may be overflowed. And the definition where flying is of course not allowed, such as about nature reserves, foreign private plots, industrial premises and critical institutions of the authorities, military and police. And of course over all airfields and airports, no matter who the operator is.

With us, this is precisely regulated, large and heavy drones need a special drone pilot license. Every drone with a camera and over 250 grams must be registered in the EU and Switzerland. Violations have hard consequences, up to 20,000 CHF or prison and others.

I assume that it is similarly regulated in the United States, isn't it.
yes, anything over a certain size needs to be registered with the faa
something the size of a small car is a serious threat to air traffic and security
but even the smaller drones can pose a hazard to legitimate use of airspace
we recently had some brush fires in the backcountry where the efforts to fight the fire from the sky were hindered by people flying drones in the area
/most likely just to get "footage" of the blaze

The misidentifications and misinterpretations are already included in the 95% of reports that can be cleared up conventionally. The remaining 5% elude normal assessment in these cases, the phenomenon cannot be explained by our conventional view of the world.

...

Especially when it comes to these adventurous stories that serve to ridicule the whole matter from the outset. I therefore suggest sticking to the main topic, which seems exciting enough to me. ;)

ive heard the cats purrrrr is similar in frequency to the bone stimulators they use so i can see it being helpful for anyone recovering from trauma
but so is having a pet by your side

have to admit this sounds a bit escalatory
doesn't jibe so good with the prior DHS 'no problem' state of mind

i agree man!
but this also seems like the media just trying to whip up a good story
first how do they define deadly force (sorry i did not read the article)
you arent going to shoot down a drone over an inhabited area willy nilly unless you are ready to eat some potential lawsuits
jamming technology is there and i wonder if it has advanced to the point where they can just force land whatever the drone is, but again where?
we are fighting this with both hands tied behind our back
the use has air defense systems that can take down missiles but we are going to be stymied by some kids toy?

we're well past these being kid's toys
this is UFO situation of the like we've never seen before
we don't know what counter measures have been attempted
that statement smacks of fear
