I guess some people can believe their is life everywhere in the solar system with venus being a real party spot and not believe we landed on the moon in 1969.Boy conspiracy specials and lunatic links sure can sway some..

i highly doubt there is actually life in our solar system, but it would be naive to assume that it doesnt exist somewhere out there

Back to the first post -- pravda.ru is not exactly the most trustworthy news source, although it is fun to read occasionally...

No one ever landed on the moon. I think it's hogwash because we haven't even been to the depths of our seas/oceans. How the hell could we get to the moon then? If someone landed on the moon in the 70's? then we should be bloody living up there by now, or rather heard more about it atleast.

I don't think all of the world's astronomists would create a massive conspiracy to cover up what anyone with enough money to buy a telescope can discover. There are just way too many people involved to keep this secret. Keep in mind NASA isn't the only ones to have supposedly landed on the moon. Quite a few countries have space research programs, and I'm sure they're not all in collaboration.

Well, the only way to know is to go and see for yourself. :)

If u have a spare 500k or however much they`re asking, u could go.

Dark side of the moon! LOL - no radio communication-

we should be able to see the flag if its there. Lets see what china's new sattelite sees.

personally i think we orbited the moon, but it was way too complex to land/ re launch/ link up etc. etc.

See the book "Nasa Mooned America" by Renee something. He makes like forty something points that can't be refuted easily as to why we didn't land on the moon. For one those oxygen scrubbers were way too small for the time spent on the moon even according to nasa own specs. Also the suit and scrubbers were larger than the diameter of the opening to the lunar lander- go to florida musenm and measuer it yourself. How did they get in/out?

Not to mention there are the exact same background for two different appollo landings in supposidly two different parts of the moon- see youtube for that one.

And my favorite which might have passed off in the sixties as truth but now seems ludicrious is them bringing a set of iron golf clubs to hit golf balls on the moon- now come on- when every ounce of weight matters with fuel- in their own words- they got to bring a six iron.

And what about that moon rover dune buggy thing. They're all tearing around on that thing like its a sixties beach party. I can't imagine being able to justify the risks of that and the payload weight. Seems like sixties propaganda to me.

So in summary, i don't doubt we orbited the moon and came back- but land no way.

Heh. I stopped reading after I saw enterprisemission.com
:laughing:

Some people will believe anything they hear. This is one of those cases where the idea of a conspiracy sounds so fun that people want to believe it, no matter how senseless it is. Don't get me wrong. I enjoy a good conspiracy as the next guy. I am mega-cynical to boot, but I guess I gotta draw the line someplace.

Anyhow, it is fun to think about the what ifs- just try to sometimes include rationale in the equation when you get serious about these sort of things. :)

geezus some of you people are gullible. Read one conspiracy theory and all of a sudden it must be true. How about reading the facts as well?

Clarke's 3rd law: "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic" - especially if you live in a nation where:

~ education always takes a backseat to military spending;
~ a sizeable percentage of the population believe in ghosts, UFOs, and Jesus - all at once;
~ many of those same over-credulous types can't actually explain how an internal combustion engine, a radio, or a television works - but will then go out of their way to venture "educated" guesses about the likelihood of life that looks a lot like us evolving independently on another planet (instead of the far more probable chance of very Earthly powers using the UFO bit as a cover story for other nefarious activity).

You should see the capsule. No way they rode that sucker to the moon. Does this rule out the possibility of life on all the other planets? No. We haven't been there, and the mars rover isn't conclusive. Nothing conspiratorial about the idea that life could be on ALL the planets. Btw, me stating there is talk of life out there and an earth like venus doesn't mean I endorse it. I said "there is talk about it" and "something to ponder".

The bit about the bases on the moon and airbrushed photos has gone around for decades. There is nothing new to be said about it. We can't get there to find out anyway, and they won't point hubble at it for fear of exposing the lies. The lander, rover, and flag would be easily visible with hubble.

How bout NASA's moon rocks having the same composition as rocks in antarctica? Or how bout the fact NASA plans to CRASH a probe into the moon in 2008 to test for water. Why not just test the 40 KILOS of rock they picked up while they were there? Or why not test for water while STANDING there?

the other day i watched a dvd of a tv show that gets aired in tve, a national tv station of spain. the guy who does the show is the famous writter of the troyan horse book series, j.j benitez. to make a long story short, the guy airs about 15 minutes of never seen before photos, audio and video of the apollo 11 mission. it not only shows structures, but it has the audio of neil armstrong saying he was seeing something way out of the ordinary which are said to be a welcoming fleet of flying saucers and really tall beings. it also says how later missions actually bombed the structures on the moon... the whole thing is in youtube in six parts, it is in spanish only though, search for 'mirlo rojo' perhaps if you try 'mirlo red' you may get an english version.
i dunno if it is a hoax or what, it is so crazy that it is a good pass-time at least.

Its all been kept secret because if the USA blatently said that there is and was Alien life out there people would flip out over it. Religious leaders would go nuts and people might loose the plot. It could prove all religions wrong and mass chaos would ensue. Thats reality.
