From the post shantibaba wrote, you would want to find a desirable female with the roadkill smell and an overpowering male, like the one you said you gave your mom the cops went looking for lol!

I am so serious when I say he was Stank. I will forever remember him. And maybe one day see and smell his traits.
RKS is just so unmistakable. The first time I saw buds it was RKS. All we had was hash in Brighton UK. I bought 3 clones from the guy. Thats all I ran for 3 years until I moved to SF. A few plants in veg. Even at 6 inches smell so deep. Like hash, coffee and pine. Stem rub is over the top.
It was so popular I never imagined it would get lost.
Blueberry sweetness pushed it off the market. Then breeders went all sweet.

Even if its in the pm i would love to talk genetics if you get my drift.

I was listening to the pot cast on soundcloud with bodhi and heard some interesting things i figured id share. Maybe we will see the goji again!

Interviewer asks:
"What do you think is the most well known bodhi strain?"

Bodhi:
"I dunno, you know like the two ones people always say are like flagships are uh Goji OG and Sunshine daydream. Kinda using those two males that i used alot that are now kinda retired. I guess those would be my current legacy in a way.

In the future you know, im thinking about doing kinda fun things with the Goji now that its you know, gone. Maybe line breeding it or taking my favorite phenos and playing off those making remixes in a way. But im always trying to move forward."

Some info on his breeding habits:

Bodhi:

"I really think the best things to mix with landraces are other highly inbred elite clones i think thats where you get the best results.

I think OGs are fun to cross anything into because OGs such a cool plant and then to cross a crazy landrace then you get these really kinda weird unique accents or really freaky buds with an OG smell but with a completely different structure.

Its kinda fun to take your favourite things and just kinda hit em with the magic stick and see what crazy stuff comes out."

Interviewer asks:
"whats your favorite OG to work with?"

Bodhi:
"I think my favorite OG to work with was that Nepali OG but, you know i no longer have it."

R.I.P Nepali OG

Going to have gogi F2's by the end if this year. Will be looking for a nepali leaning male. Thats the best shot at stank I can come up with. Will OP the right male and test dozens of crosses.

"RKS" can be found in Mexican and Affghanistan regions but not much else, id take the white out or strains like that, its hard enough but seek skunk out id try find a trinity or giesel or O Haze and some old stock sensi or SSSC sk1 or Basic Skunks , which byself give iff RKS idk guess dont use modern stuff like white id say good luck

Tom Hill had said this north Indian line was quite skunky as well if he ever lets those seeds out, it may be worth looking at.

I'm going to search in the RSC Mazar for a stinky plant one day to add to my breeding project. :)

Seeing the Mazar was said to have been used making the Skunk
I asked Roms a few questions about the RSC Mazar I Shariff.

Questions to those who have grown this line:

  1. Do these Mazars have skunky aromas to them?
  2. On a scale of 1 -10. How smelly are they?
  3. Are short (1 meter phenotypes) common, if at all.

1 - Yes, like many "indica" cultivar native!
2 - 10
3 - Not common with MIS import from what i know, the line is usually more sativa stretchy ; by cons short specimens are common with my in breeding line.

Looking forward your next grow Troutman, good luck with them!

Hope this helps. :tiphat:

I didn't have much luck with Mazar. But haven't tried the RSC. Their strains seem to be fairly landrace like. I may pick up a few packs and see if anything pops up.

Thanks for the tip.

I believe Mazar I sheriff and old Afghan gentetics are the best stock for rks projects . a good sativa should be on hand as well perferably African in my opinion the black pepper terms seem to help bring our the rks genetics .

Colombian Gold can have pepper odors in them due to the β-caryophyllene terpene in it.

I'm breeding with a rare Malawi Gold line right now and I don't smell any pepper in them.

What kind of African plants makes black pepper odors?

I would recommend power plant for the pepper terp or just about any black African sativa should you have access . also some early hayz plants have the desired pepper feel .

I would breed two sperate / unrelated lines to a f4 slecting for road kill terms/ traits containing approxametly 87.5% indica Afghan / 12.5% black pepper sativa from oragin of you choice . Then cross to each other creating a road kill stock with hybrid vigour. least this is my goal.

Have you made an F1 yet in your quest to find the RKS?

No . my project is on hold till next spring. I leaving central oregon for a more scluded 50+ acre property with proper water source. I pay 4k a month for my current 10 acre place in central oregon and I am over the high rent . time to buy .

I'm currently testing 7 F1's outdoors just to see what they will look like along with a guerilla crop.

I know they won't flower properly as I have to take down the flowering time a lot.

Deer have topped them though.

Yes, you should buy if you can afford it. :tiphat:

It was a new hybrid nobody else has and I guess the deer wanted to try them seeing they were new.

My other spots about 4 KM away never got touched.

If you have deer around anything is possible.

Some deer like Sugar Bob even get stoned and relax beside the plants like this one.

Mr Nice 'New Skunk'

I think with the "one out of 30 seeds" Shanti was referring to the EXTREMELY skunky types, or tha'ts how i understood it.
..so i imagine there are also "fairly" skunky phenos in those seeds
:)

I've got thirty of these, I'm gonna grow em out...popped a few to see how they germ, I'll check back in...one love!
