I think we can say a lot more than that, I think we've probably identified the cut you're looking for. Its not doesn't take a terribly great intellectual leap to go from listening to The Pot Cast & hearing Pbud talk about one the greatest reeks he ever smelled from a pot plant & saying it originated in Camas Valley & that it also goes by '89HP to guess what the mystery weed you're seeking is, when what you're looking for is a similar variety from that same area and time period. Seems like a no-brainer that the RKS you're looking for is probably Skelly Hash Plant AKA The Puck AKA 89HP.
Did you breed the original one or know the folks who did?

I did not breed it . i belive i know who did breed it cant say for a 100% because the person passed away some years ago .

Hash Plant x NL #1 .
Or G13 / HP / NL#1 .
G13 , Hash Plant, Big Bud and another version of Northern Lights were brought back from the PNW to the Netherlands . Jorge Cervantes was allegedly involved .

All those cuts were hybridized by Nevil in Holland and sold back to folks in the USA as the real deal .

Thanks for sharin

Skelly hashplant is the same thing as the puck? I thought the puck originated around Colorado somewhere?

If skelly hash plant /89hash plant/ puck is the strain i am looking for it would have cam to life around 197-1972 and if its the plant that i seek it would pre date norther lights .

Don't mind the copy and paste from my thread,

Skunk 91s are coming right along. The first two pictures are of some of the better looking clones on 3/3. Since they rooted so well for me I had enough time to throw them in the pot with the two males so they can get knocked up in the isolation chamber while I collect pollen too. As Ricky from Trailer Park Boys would put it, "Getting two birds stoned at once." The last 3 pictures are from 3/5. On one of them I was trying to get a decent picture of where there were male sacs already coming out of the lower branches. I had heard from Stray Fox Gardens who ran these F1s said that that is where they tend to pop out the most. So I'm going to really lolipop these in order to clean up the bottom and make it easier to spot pollen sacs and also hopefully prevent them. Again, the goal with working this line is to breed towards the RKS side of things and also hopefully stabilize the line.

BOEL spread around the Kandahar around that time. Very piney, spicy, tar hashplant. Baseballbat or golfball colas, depending on plant/pheno

Though there are like 28 different regions in Aghanistan and back in the day afghanistan extended further into Pakistan so it was even more broad/diverse back then.

Thought i would share for those of us with old seed stock.

Thought i would share for those of us with old seed stock.

For old seeds like the 70s Thai i force open seed pods for better germantion.
With seeds older then 10 years old or seeds that have high value i first lightly sand edges of seeds with a nail file . then soak for a few days in water .after that i pull seeds out of water . then apply presure with twizers to sides of seed shell to lightly open it enough to get a small knife in between shell opening and force open exposing seedling . then place exposed seedlings in a damp/wet paper towel in a zip lock bag and place bag in a warm dark place 70 to 75 degress till i see obvious . soon as i see a good half inch of growth seedlings then in to 4 inch potters.this technique has much higher germantion rate that is needed for old seeds.

I've played doctor as well with tweezers and a needle on some old seeds.

On some old seeds you have to take off that membrane enclosing the embryo to save it all the while trying not to break the tap root.

That's why making fresh seeds every few years is wise. Still it's a great skill to have when you need it.
