Nice. I've never not enjoyed a volcano, but when I came to finally buy a vaporizer for myself, I couldn't bring myself..
(Also, happy to hear you're using it through waterpipes too - I've found the bag to become cumbersome..)
First I bought an Arizer Extreme Q. I was intrigued because it seemed like a cheaper alternative to the Volcano, at a much lower price (~$200?) -- that is, it fills a bag, .. OR, you could use it as a whip. I bought it because the whip idea intrigued me, but the bag was familiar. Digital thermostat, remote control, auto shutoff, blahblahblah..
Turned out I liked the bag more than the whip (just never could seem to get a good rip), .. After a while though, it really felt like a pain in the ass to plug this thing in, let it warm up, let it fill the bag, .... And then enjoy.
And then, put the bag back on, refill it.... ...Enjoy, lather, rinse, repeat, ..
Between the "plugged into the wall" factor and the "warmup time, bag-fill time.." it started to feel cumbersome, a bit of a pain in the ass.
I've since gotten an Arizer Solo, and I LOVE it. It's my daily driver now (except for nighttime - that's always at least a pipe, or a bongrip). Runs on a rechargeable battery, holds a charge for 4-5 uses, heats up in about 90 seconds, and travels quite well/stealthy/rugged.
The only problem now is that the only smokers I know are within the four walls of my house, and my wife doesn't count -- and I've got this Extreme Q I'd love to get rid of..
