Xsho, go read the cherry bomb thread. Mr. G and I are friends.
There's a difference between the stories of illegal actions from clandestine organizations being told online and what they tell you in person when given the genetics directly.I always laugh when I hear all these stories about how this or that cannabis strain came about. Most of it is pure fiction that's been passed around the internet for years. Spread by someone who heard it from so and so who's cousin knew X and told Y this and that.
growing 4 old cb now.[.thanks heirloom..]CB came out of a brick of Maui Wowie. Mr. G dug through the entire brick and found 7 seeds that he developed into Cherry Bomb. From working it I now have the original, a green pheno I call 7-Up and a purple one. They all have different tastes and different highs.
Enjoy!
I like your style Zanddar! What strains are the large plants in your room?Hello everyone.
Still in veg waiting for flower room space. Two females and a male. Showing the 2 females. Nodes are fairly close on both. MW 7 has lots of red. Both have very nice smells and sticky in veg. Looking forward to tasting these.
They got trunks Like elephants on em!!!Hello everyone.
MW 18 and 7 are in flower now.
great stuff...Hello everyone.
MW 18 and 7 are in flower now.
Xshow reveals his wisdom. Naw, only new hybrids are the thing. Right? Gelato x cookies x dogshit. The most credible phrase I look for in this cannabis hunt is “i got it from an old timer”![]()
Hello everyone
Starting these from The Landrace Team.
Classic Hawaiian Sativa from the 60’s.
Hi everyone
MW at 4 weeks of flower. Nice resin started on MW18 and it was stickier than MW7 in veg. MW18 smells of a sweet fruit. MW7 is sweet smelling and a bit different. I will most likely be making seed from this strain and crossing it to some of my other females.
The male is a huge and vigorous plant.
AmenJust stopped by in order to shed some light over the subject. As funny as it seems, that Maui Wowie was a reproduction from Greengene's Cherry Bomb seeds that I did years ago with a bunch I've received from an old forum guy and seed collector I was close to. The source of TLTs were some seeds that I shared back then with Criposo from Colombia, without knowing he worked so closely with TLT or was such an interested guy (found out later he used to be the main guy doing the reproductions of the strains they sourced through forums, before selling them out). It seems they have a bunch of growers doing repros for them now. Lately some customers that reproduce the strains after paying for them, end providing fresh seeds back when TLT runs out of stock, especially from highly demanded ones thanks to the hype from reviews and nice pictures provided from "landrace influencers" from Instagram like Jade Nectar Farms and so on.
I've sent Criposo a bunch of pure lines (including Cherry Bomb, Jamaica Blue Mountain, Philippines, Myanmar Karen, Manali, Colombian Black, Cohiba and some others) in return of some Colombian seeds he offered, because some common friends like Yaxu mentioned he was another passionate landrace collector and grower at the time and Charlie Garcia also dealed with him from his trips to Colombia. So I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Unfortunately he ended revealing himself as someone untrustworthy and with a dark side, since I've found out many of those strains ended in their website despite we often discussed about this kind of practices. Of course after years of excuses he dissapeared without never sending anything as promised. Not that I care, but you get the idea. Fool me once but won't fool me twice...
Forget all the made up stories and marketing TLT usually post or reply to curious customers, they will tell you what you want to hear in order to take your money, like most companies do anyway. There's always a simple and shady story behind each and every one of their lines and any similar company, be it forums or local growers that popped up in the Instagram landrace scene and did deals with them. TLT are selling Jamaica BM and Jarilla de Sinaloa, Lambsbread (Longtime), the Cherry Bomb, Azure's Papua and many others I don't even remember. Don't believe the hype.
Anyway, good for them. In the end only the scene loose credibility with this. Karma watches though!
P.S: a picture I kept as a proof of what we sent to Colombia, in order to be reproduced and shared with other landrace lovers and breeders from South America.
