HIMALAYAN GOLD [aka NEPALESE x NORTH INDIAN] and Red Devil
The aromas of this plant have been characterized as a sweet and spicy chocolate and a hint of pepper. With a THC content up to 15% and a CBD of 1.4%, the high hits down and then works its way up.

This strain is is an IBL line of a 1988 G13-Hashplant
(Aka: Mr.Nice), mostly done by NDNguy and friends with the wishes that no one profit from the pure seedline.

Purest Indica

The Seed Banks Northern Lights #1 Description

Logo The Seed Bank
NL #1 is a true-breeding Afghani, with extreme Indica characteristics. These are short, stocky plants, with leathery, dark green, extremely broad leaves. The stems ere very strong, and it is easy to clone. As the seedlings generally tend to grow to one main stem, this is an excellent choice for the "Sea of Green" or "Small Plant" method. Resinous, potent, and sweet, not nasty and acrid like some Afghanis. Very vigorous end cold resistant, works well outdoors with a long season.

Indoor height at 100 days: 40-50 inches.
Indoor yield at 100 days: up to 1000 grams.
Flowering period at 12 hours of darkness: 50-55 days.
Outdoor height: 5-7 ft.
Outdoor yield: 1,5-2 Ibs.
Outdoor finishing date: October 15 at 45° N. latitude.

Its all good brother, I enjoy the journey :huggg:
Glad you mentioned that,
Nevil NL1 and NL2 descriptions didnt match

Never really got into the NL a couple friends were working with it well... 1-11
so no telling what they really had NL1 N2 N5 think it was the #5 crusty and sweet
Could have been a mixture Sensi NL
Wasn't really keen on the ones I tried in the early 90's
Wanted to give them a chance again 🤷‍♂️ especially #1,2?
The '79 afghan

ndn '88G13HP and MrNice ... agree
Did those '88 get up to 13 fingers?

They average 11 and 13 bladed leaves generally or very small 5 bladed seems to be the norm.

The PH is a strain that requires selection I worked with a friend in the USA who I gave my best seeds to he selected down 2 elite selections really elite selections he reversed both selections with STS and pollinated a number of each clones.
This is some super strong indica that yields big !

A highly coveted true breeding strain from Humboldt County,
a pre-Soviet import from Aghanistan inbred by oldtimers for over two decades.

Pungent, rock hard nugs that hit hard, producing a strong body buzz that lasts for hours. High THC , hardy outdoor strain, makes great old school Afghani hash . Mother of Herijuana.

TABLE 1. The seminal six seed companies operated throughout the 1980s, and many of their

cultivars are still available today.

Among the earliest Dutch varieties were Holland’s Hope and
Amstel Gold, which were introduced in the early 1980s and are
still available today. Although these predominantly indica
cultivars are not very potent, they mature much earlier than most
varieties, as they were bred to grow outdoors in the Netherlands.
Both were bred from selections of imported Afghan hashish
landraces.
The following eight cultivars were brought

How to select males based on possible linked traits. Can traits be partially linked?

Some of the measured phenotype traits seem to be signs of a more mature, healthy plant, which would have more potential potency and terpene content.

Results

Correlation analysis of morphological
traits with THC and CBD. Correlations of
THC and CBD with morphological traits are
plotted in Fig. 3.

The ratio of THC is
positively correlated with leaf width/length
ratio (0.77), width of central leaflet (0.55),
final height at the end of flowering stage
(0.54), inflorescence yield per plant (0.46),
leaf chlorophyll concentration (0.42), sick-
ness (Botrytis cinerea incidence) (0.41),
stem diameter at base at the end of the
flowering stage (0.33), and weight per in-
florescence (0.32) in decreasing correla-
tions.

The ratio of CBD is positively
correlated with the number of primary ser-
rations on the central leaflet (0.52), number
of leaflets (0.44), and length of central
leaflet averaged from each node (0.35).

The traits that were positively correlated
with THC were...
