I'm not a fan of Sub's work. I smoked his clones of Jilly AO and some other I can't remember as it was like 6 years ago. I found then to weak for my liking. Now having said that Sub has been holding Grimms C99 for him since he went on hiatus, so I would say anything crossed to it should be really good like say Vortex.
Then again Grimm is back breeding so He would be my go to C99 guy

Dude, you will run into someone who will hook you up. I mostly had to buy my seeds over the years. However, I was gifted some beans over the years. I had a clone offer once but was too chicken to risk it. Things have changed signifigantly - from 4000-6000 lbs to 1200-2000 lbs and prices are dropping like crazy.
If you want the cut for $, that train has long left the station. I come on this site for strictly nostalgia and entertainment value. The money making days are long past.
Especially with the recent announcement of potenial crack down on recreational from the Rep party. Sounds like green merchant part duo. I am suprised how many people came out of the woodwork and exposed themselves as growers. Never quit your day job.

he will take any elite clone he finds... and hit it w/ sum pollen... then release the beans...
his catalogue proves this... that isn't real breeding... it takes time, to backcross, and really define particular pheno's into long-term viable genetics...

I hear ya. I get suspect when I see way too may offerings from the same company without any test grows. all just a money grab. The problems being that people buy into it and grow a strain and put all that time and effort and it either disappoints or hermes. His strains arent cheap either at 100 bux. Throw in if you buy em in Canada, and your giving your money away due to exchange rate. I believe its 31 cents your giving them on the dollar. So on a $100 pack of seeds, you gave them 131 dollars. Not too good in my book.
I remember when i first starting buying seeds, you could guarantee good plants in a ten pack no problemo. Now, you need multiple packs and may get 3 or 4 different phenos. The good thing bout say, c99 , was the bro grimm put the time in to back cross it multiple times before he released it. Im not sure id buy into the new cross though. Alot of cheddar for alot of unknows.
Either way, to each his own. I will just pop what I have and see what come up. I dont like throwing money at the wind. I cant stand when i hear people say packs are not germing either. Test pop those b4 you release em. Ive never seen so many breeders and seeds released as of lately.
It seems pretty clear - many of the strains are just a one-off cross with a famous medical cut, others, like Hurkle, are presented as more stable lines. That's no surprise, they tell you in the description.
Compare TGA to "Rezdog" who all the internet idiots thought was God of breeding for years....turns out his whole "op" was his small 2-bedroom apartment in Worcester, Mass. There is so much bullshit in the cannabis industry. I would say you're in excellent hands ordering from TGA.

Maye like, a couple, perhaps a half dozen... But otherwise, no. There are aspects of real breeders, and real breeding programs, but nothing like what the legal agro industry does (and can do) with plants is found anywhere in any cannabis market. Only in terms of hemp are there actual breeding programs, and hey, does anyone here know or pick up from any hemp seed breeders??.

The plant and it's nature, the nature of it's genetics and how traits are inherited, lends itself to the kinds of crappy breeding strategies all of us use. If cannabis were anything like say, corn, we'd really be fucked and had been fucked long long ago.
We are all "breeders" and have the ability, and potential, to breed, and invent something new.. Embrace that! That is the true awesomeness of the weed game! Select for that awesome shit, and keep it going, and then breed it out and make it happen, do it again and again.
People will knock strains because they came out of closets, basements, and bedrooms... DUH! This is where it all basically came out of.

Easy there, you are combining 2 different things. The weed that was priced 4-6k a lb a few years ago, was true top shelf weed. I have never seen true top shelf at 2k a lb, especially not at 1200. It's still closer to 3k unless you buying 10+
However I will say the stuff coming from away now for 2k is actually smokable, pending it can pass pesticide testing.... It has good bag appeal and taste, doesn't have mouth coating effect of properly grown and cared for elite cuts though.
The only prices that are dropping like crazy are for subpar stuff.... that stuff gotta drop prices to get rid of it.

Keep us posted on that blissful wizard. Up here in Maine the breeder CookieMaine (TheCaptainsConnection) sells clones of his bwiz for $1000 and purple punch for $600(not his). There have been 4 or 5 reports in the last month of folks in Maine buying one or multiple clones and them turning out to be mislabeled untested clones in atleast 2 case the $1000 clones herming.
