An older man(85y/o) gave me some seeds to grow. I kept one female that had a sweet skunky smell with a wild open foxtailing bud structure. I crossed her to a Daybreaker male. Here is a bud from the seeds of a female that retained the open foxtailing structure like momma. Skunky chem funk smell. Good movie weed to just veg on the couch with.
Named it Spirit of 85. Honor of the old man.

@skinnyleaf... that shit looks out of this world, gotta love the "dedicated" strains. I gave my old man some unknown clones way back when to break into the hobby, I had since lost them and got it back years later, I call it Dads Cherry since that was the girl that popped his !

I'm working on trying to re-create Burma lights which was Burmese x N.L. #5...
Got 4 pheno's of my own project Chemdawg x Mango Haze. 2 are taller with large spacing between nods. 1 shorter more uniform and spacing is tight and 1 in between. The taller pheno's have 11 blade fans. As you can see there not skinny sativa blades
The shorter pheno's have 9 blade fans. Shorter mango dawg (?) topped
I have about 15 seeds to find the best pheno to make a clone only strain of my own. I've done an extensive search and have not seen this combination anywhere. Both parents are spectacular with the Chem D being the bean holder.

The other crosses I got going here is White Fire x GSC and GSC x GSC. I guess the WiFi x GSC is really the actual cross. One of the GSC x GSC has 11 blade fans too. This is really quite a surprise. The first pic. the one on the right in the thumbnail above is this GSC leave not Chem mango.
I have 3 WF x GSC a few seeds through major mutant:'s. The 3 of these are pretty much identical right now. Very heathy and uniform.

there will be some interesting variations of the mum out of some of these .
i have a smaller more advanced black lime , with much the same crosses on her . you don't see black lime round these parts . so i,m making the most of it .

Beautiful leaves Mgokush. I once had a hash-plant lady from seedsman seed with 13 fingers once, The most I've seen.
I do think doing your own cross's with decent strains is the way forward to find new and special hybrids. It's how alot of these clone only elites came about. I've just started my own breeding projects, I feel now my skill as a grower is at a stage where I can take it to the next level, and breeding being the most advanced its the natural progression.I've just sown and nearly finishing off an accidental cross where a plant had a Nana and fertilised another in the room. It was a crap- banana kush it crossed with a GSC. The mad thing is the GSC improved it about 10 fold, I called her - Bookies. Therfore if you cross 2 top notch strains then surly you can end up with some great hybrids.
I've just myself isolated a gogi og male. It's the snow lotus leaning pheno and I collected pollen and using a brush marked off a few branches with coloured tape and painted the pistils with pollen. I've crossed GSC x Gogi og and blue dream x gogi og. I'm gonna also mix exodous psychosis with the F1s in another project, which should be some next level shit with 3 elite strains in the mix.
If thread is still going I'll post pics of them when done.

I got some malawi gold seeds from some folks out that way who got um from some folks up in the jungle, had a male n bred it to forum gsc. I want to cross that to some relentless fire cookies and to some durban poison. Also was thinkin of crossin the durban to everything, best high i ever had came from some durban n i been chasin it ever since...
