Crippy, The Crip, Cripto, the names alone just bring back great old memories of being an young stoner. I'm not sure if the name had anything to do with the show "tales from the crypt" which aired back in those days. This was the first stuff that had to be kept in a jar as the smell would get you in trouble.

Like I have said in a previous post in here crip might have started out as an individual strain but soon all non-seeded sensi was labeled crippy, crypto, or just the crip.

Now growing up in S FL we had access to great Jamaican chocolate regs, and other good nickel and dime bags but when I tried the Afghani for the first time I was in love and higher than I had ever been. This is when I realized that "not all weeds are equal." The good old days.

I remember getting the chocolates.. were amazing I sense hints of it in Gorilla Glue... The reason I keep her around. I also had a cut that was called G back then and after a ton of research I believe her to have been a ghani.. Iv said wish I had any of the old school strains I grew up smoking now... It would be amazing.... no luck so far..

I read all 68 pages of this thread over the years. I now feel the need to voice my opinion because i dont see many doing it. You can take this info with a grain of salt. The varigated leaf is no joke and need more investigating. My kush crosses contain the same marks.

One of the strongest strains I smoked was from a despesry(now closed). It tasted and smelled like delicate chocolate. The strain was called "badass" and the operation looked like it was run by the cartels.

This chocolate weed ranks up there for me with the haze, og kush, tropical skunk.

I choose this weed from smelling over 20 jars of highgrade. One day i walked in and said i want to get what smells the best. One smelled like chocolate so i got it. Was probly the most potent tasty strain i ever had. Went back to get more and they sold out immediately. They never restocked the strain even after i requested it multiple times.

Seriously man. Give it up.... Its clear that you have a cursory and superficial knowledge of strains and history. Not to be an asshole but its like a kid taking a shot in the dark about how babies are made... The white has been sourced from Fl and brought to the scene by a one time icmag member by the name of Krome... Not NY and it has little to actually to do for your resume other than an attempt at validation of knowledge, which it doesn't. That bit ya in the ass off top, my first read through. Speculation has been done 1000x over. We dont need more wild random speculation. AFAIK there is no GG28... Seeing how GG sprang from this board as well, and how alot of information and people from ICMAG tend to be of the top echelon- albeit not always- seems like you just moseyed past Roll It Up and now spouting off . You're sharing a board with real heavyweights past n present- I'm not one of em, I just relayed first hand info I know...

Crippy, kryptonite, kill, killer, creeper, kind, kine etc. are mostly Spanglish corruptions of Spanish slang words. Cripa, cripi, tipo cripi, crispi and others are themselves Spanish corruptions of Italian word "crepi", which means die/kill.

Crepi is short for "crepi il lupo", the response to the Italian idiom "in bocca al lupo." Directly translated, "in bocca al lupo" means "in the mouth of the wolf", but the equivelant English idiom is "break a leg". In American theatre and stage, it's considered bad luck to wish someone "good luck", so we say "break a leg", the worst possible luck in horse racing, instead. The Italians have this same superstition, but instead of wishing a broken horse leg, they wish each other "into the wolfs mouth", in reference to the Big Bad Wolf in the fairy tale Little Red Riding Hood. In this story, the BBW swallows LRRH and/or her grandma whole, then takes a nap. Then a hunter or lumberjack comes along, cuts open the BBW's stomach while he's sleeping, lets LRRH/Gma out, and places stones in the BBW's stomach before sewing him back up. Then the wolf gets shot or sick and drowns happily ever after the end. So despite it's literal meaning, Crepi! is often said with the gleeful exuberance of thanking someone for wishing you good fortune. That all will go well and the story will end as it should.

Surfers prolific use of the word killer in the 80's spawned the use of other normally negative-sounding words to describe something good as not just good, but supernaturally good and fortunate. Wicked, rad, sick, bad, gnarly, dope, are all conveying the feeling of killing the big bad wolf and producing/procuring high grade marihuana. Like crippy, most of these terms are not used anymore than lid, doobie or groovy are. They're terms from a bygone era, but the pop-culture phrase "killin' it" is still in relatively common use and also has it's roots in marihuana/LRRH/broken horse leg, as does the title of Michael Jackson's 7th album. Kine is Hawaiian (mis)pronunciation of Kind, and both refer to Spanish word tipo, or tipo cripi. Type kill. Kind kill. Or in other words, the kind that is killer. The killing the wolf kind of bud.

Crippy in English spelling is basically any European genetic grown in a Spanish speaking country and smoked in an English speaking one. Piff, Black Haze, Orange Krush, pretty sure they're all crippy. TBH I'm suspicious of any high end sativa available in quantity. Cripi in Spanish was probably originally a nod to European genetics and lore but it has been genericized to include any cultivated marihuana strain and all the practices that generally go along with it (like dro) as a way to quickly distinguish cultivated cannabis from bush weed.

Does anyone know what year Vic High first released Orange Crush seeds? I know I first saw it in bud form in 2000. From other peoples accounts Orange Krush was already around in '95 and I saw it as late as 2004. I fully believe Vic made a legit cross of a legit Cali-O cut and a legit DJ Short Blueberry male. By all accounts, his stuff was good, but I suspect he may have stolen the name for that cross from an already-popular black market strain, to cash in on the hype-by-association effect? Or maybe those buds were from his seeds, or hell, maybe they came from up north, possibly grown by the man himself??? I don't know, but I do know Orange Krush is an unnofficial beach gathering just north of the FL/GA line, similar to Black Bike Week in South Carolina, and has been since the 80's. The school colors are orange and blue. To me it looks like he either named it after the beach party, the renowned BM Orange Krush, or both.

Which came first, the chicken or the egg? In the case of Crippy, I'm quite sure the chicken came long before any commercially available eggs. With Orange Krush/Crush I am suspecting the same, but not so sure.

OG Kush - This photo was taken 10 seconds ago. Signature dark green leaves. Light lime green bud. Orange hairs. Smell can get you in trouble. True consistent connoisseur level weed. Embarrassed. Ha not at all. This weed is nothing to be embarrassed about. Do trolls normally come along with their own og kush grows, journals, and bud shots? The internet has become a sad place glad some want to hear my bullshit so maybe i can give out another 30 facts to please some.

Ok joker, you clearly are 13 years old and have spent exactly two days reading the internet. Here is this link to the real growers and OG Kushes of the world.

https://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=251118 https://www.icmag.com/ic/forumdisplay.php?f=65819

Post up some pics of your grow so we can all see what the pros spots look like, won't you?

And that beaster looks nothing like quality OG kush, just sayin'

Best advice, read up a little more, stop taking some broke dick delivery driver kids words as gospel, and source some better pot.

Vibes
