A day later, as you can see, the plant growth is getting too dense and causing overcrowding. I can't get through the door without bumping into something. It is time to move another plant out of this grow to allow more growing room for the main plants left. I only have 4 of my best females left out of the whole bunch. The others have been moved to their new gardens and doing very well too. The bottom photo was taken right before I posted now.

The room is full again but nicely. I was hoping that I didn't have to raise the lights anymore because I was trying to keep the LED as close to the canopy as possible. Pre-flowering nicely for 16 days after the flip. Here are some green shots without the lights on. Sorry for the poor photos.

Here's an interesting post on how to save one's plant from dogs, cats, wind, kids, or scorching Sun. I use a dog kennel as a shade house when the plants are smaller in the hot Summer. There are many different sizes. I use black greenhouse clothe to cover the whole cage when the weather is baking hot in the Summer. The plant is too big to cover now but I could have kept the door closed and used the cage as a trellis.

Here's an update on the females I moved early to make room the the Sativas. Out of the 3 plants in the small garden, I'm moving the middle one and up-potting it and moving her out. She deserves much better and that will allow the other two more room to flower. I'm surprised at how well she did in a one-gallon pot of plain Happy Frog. There are 3 more in another garden that I will post later.

When I see a weekly chart I see a fertilizer mix that's supposed to be used for the whole week and not in one watering. Not all at ONCE!! friends. General Hydroponics as well as other fertilizer manufacturers recommends how to use their products weekly.

Here is an example of where I am now, using "week six early bloom" Add 4 ml Micro, -1 ml Grow, - 5 ml Bloom, to one gallon of fortified cal mag RO water. The total comes to 600 with fertilizer or 900 ppm with cal mag. and that's for the whole week. The total needs to be split into every watering for the whole week. I have 4 waterings a week so the total needs to be split into 1/4 in every watering.

900 ppm split into 4 waterings will yield 225 ppm per watering. That's how one should use the weekly charts. When I water I fertilizer with the same ppm every watering and the plants adapt and take what they need. I go by the weekly charts religiously but only as they are intended to be used.

If one is in one-gallon pots and waters every day then the total needs to be split into 7 waterings. Seven into 900 ppm is 128 ppm per watering in one-gallon pots. If you do it any other way then you are not doing it the way it was intended to be used.

Ok here is the last set of 3 females making the total 9 females out of 12 plants. These 3 plants are getting Sunlight mixed with high-pressure sodium. I prefer having them outdoors but if the day is rainy or extra cloudy I put them under 400 watt Hps. Right now they are 21 days into flowering. Everything is getting the same low 250 ppm nutrients.

Here's an update on the main garden with 4 females, 21 days in flowering. I keep bending the main tops and tying them down to keep from having to raise the lights. I want to keep the light as close to the canopy as I can to allow the lower buds to ripen. When bending stems it's important to only bend them after the plant has been watered. Bending when the plant is dry can cause the stem to break.

I'm giving all the plants the same mix, only 230 ppm total.130 ppm cal mag and 100 ppm fertilizer. General hydroponics flora series and no additives. Here are the 180-watt garden plants. I noticed some fertilizer burn on the hybrid plant when I looked at the screen magnified. Tip burn and little bronzing on the bottom photo and the reason is because of no discharge caused the EC to rise. To fix this problem I just need to allow discharge with every watering.

Since I'm visually impaired I have to take a photo of the plant in question and view it on the computer magnified. That's the only way I can see it good enough to work with them. Taking photos and having to view them on the computer is a pain in the ass. That's the only way I can see the bud timing and the sex of the plants.
