Self-awareness and education, operating with an informed and empowered populace (Heaven forbid), versus Police/military-enforced totalitarian health, as a mandate at the barrel of a gun, or the point of an ever-present bio-metric measuring device to be worn by the citizenry.

Absolutely serious questions re. possible outcomes, without even addressing the other issues raised of world-wide solidarity and sharing of resources for everyone's benefit, versus isolationism in the face of the pandemic..

When manufartred products no longer sell and only certain ones have value we are forced to cease hostilities over trivial reasons and adapt for another then real game on.
Forced to try to provide food for the populous then we become more agrarian in as much possible.
Would this not be ideal ?

Internet proves itself to be what it is bullshit, and a tool of betrayal paid for by the people and used against .

Meanwhile I'm preaching to the choir.

I suspect we will no longer have a social care crisis. Spare OAP homes for those old enough to qualify. The richest will live off the interest of the govt bonds they just bought from the worlds govts, with the money they pulled out of the stock markets. The national debts will be crippling for those left working to pay their tax bill. Every hospital bed will have a cheap ventilator next to it, but no one qualified to operate it.
And a global unisex fashion rise in hijabs and goggles.

your immune system is no match to some viruses. you wont fight it with immune system boosters. if its gonna kill you, it will kill you.

actually it's not that simple.

it depends a lot on your initial exposure.

50 virus particles vs. 500,000.

that's called an "inoculum".

keep it small and you have a MUCH better chance.

i notice that the increase in the death toll tends to slow down on Sundays.

i don't that's because the virus is taking a break.

it might be related to the webmasters needing to take a break.

also they are collating data from the 9-to-5 world.

to figure out what's going on, a Friday data point and a Monday data point will help.

some cities are peaking now, in April.

there is sort of a Grim light at the end of the tunnel. New York will peak in April, and the US total death toll is peaking in late April early May.

but in rural areas it will go on and on, peaking in maybe 80 days.

Oklahomas metrics are not looking good, a lot of people symptomatic but are not able toget tested. We have the highest death to testing ratio with the exception of delaware? Not sure whats up with that. Our numbers are comparable to puerto rico for christs sake?

When it hits here it will hit hard. Years of incompetent republican leadership jas allowed thousands to lose insurance and be kicked off medicaire. Our rural hospitals are closed and sitting with beds and equipment while no one cares. The head of oklahomas AMA suggested on the news, (which implies the governor is not listening to him) that we needed to designate one major hospital in okc and one major hospital in tulsa as covid centers. Im sure the competing corporations who own those hospitals would just LOVE THAT...NOT.
meanwhile people are reluctancly obeying citiy managers and mayors who ask them to shelter in place after the disease had weeks to get a foothold.
