Well Boris Johnson has coronavirus.

Boris Johnson has in the past couple of weeks metamorphosed into a true statesman of tremendous courage and resolve.

After calmly acknowledging he has contracted the virus that has already killed thousands of victims, often within a week from the moment of infection, Boris Johnson retained his focus on working via video conference, to ultimately conquer this grave threat to Britain, and to humanity.

My hat is off to you Mr. Johnson sir, for you have proven beyond doubt that you are indeed a leader of men, who is sincere, blunt, pragmatic, and above all, utterly fearless despite being confronted with a relentless, diabolical and invisible microbial enemy of unprecedented magnitude.

When historians review events of the dark year 2020, Boris Johnson, and New York Mayor Andrew Cuomo, will rank prominently among the heroes of the hour, who willingly placed their very lives on the line, to protect those of their constituents, with a total disregard for their own personal safety.

Gotta stop rambling here. Getting a bit emotional today.

Funny that nobody knows anyone who is seriously ill or who has died from this super contagious highly fatal virus. The world has been shut down for a week now and still, nobody here actually knows anyone who has died and nobody has posted a video or picture of the chaos that is supposedly happening. All I've seen is a few pictures of hospital waiting rooms looking like an average day in any big city. Also, apparently people the world over have suddenly stopped dying of anything except for the Corona virus, which has magically become the sole cause of death for everybody everywhere.

My good friend and department leader said her husband (an EMT)

I suspect China is mass burying dead virus victims in the same manner used by Iran to dispose of thousands of cadavers every night. That fact won't prevent the Chinese leadership from claiming another "great victory", over the virus that may in fact only be getting started in China.

Shrimp vendor at Wuhan market may be coronavirus ‘patient zero’

The shrimp peddler at the Chinese market where the coronavirus pandemic likely began has been identified as one of the first victims of the disease — and possibly “patient zero.”

The 57-year-old woman, identified by the Wall Street Journal as Wei Guixian, was the first person from the now-notorious Huanan market in Wuhan to test positive for the deadly bug.

She was at work Dec. 10 when she developed what she thought were cold symptoms, Chinese outlet The Paper reported. So she walked to a small local clinic for treatment and then went back to work — likely spreading the contagion.

“I felt a bit tired, but not as tired as previous years,” she told The Paper, according to a translation by news.com.au. “Every winter, I always suffer from the flu. So I thought it was the flu.”

Boris certainly took a few wrong steps initially, but then, as the situation warranted, he did listen to the scientists before things got completely out of hand. For being ready and willing to change course as dictated by those in the know, Boris does deserve credit, unlike you-know-who, that continues to throw out adjectives like "beautiful", "amazing" and "fantastic", to describe his own quaint delusions that remain diametrically opposed to the reality that is currently unfolding globally.

I apologize for the angry tone of my opinion about the eating habits of the Chinese. Ironically, I happen to love Chinese food made with what I would regard as conventional ingredients, just as as strongly as I loathe the penchant of the Chinese to feast on all manner of wildlife without a care in the world about microbial mutations that constitute an occupational hazard, the more "exotic" the species consumed.
