Most of human behavior I think is (at least in part) the need to fit in *enough* to not become outcast. Since so much of that fitting in is the result of just us guessing at what things and people to run with, toward, or away from, and since that’s a dumb way, and we all do it, no wonder we stay so fucked up so much of the time.

Times like these, cats are most likely to be unsettled, since they’re guessing, scared of guessing wrong, scared to be seen being scared, and don’t know what else to do. And some cats have had their minds worked over time for them.

So, yeah, I guess it is a form of insanity...scary idea

Link didn’t work.
The video that ran had quotes of trump, lying through his teeth. Really hard to listen to him now. I don’t want to complain too much about his multiple shortcomings, but he really has zero credibility and he should have someone with credibility do the talking. Numbers of infected still growing at 30% per day. I hope the mini lockdown works, and i believe we probably will need to continue for at least another 4-8 weeks.

On another note, did anyone else get the trump 2020 campaign postcard from the CDC. In large bold capitalized letters, it says, PRESIDENT TRUMP’S CORONAVIRUS GUIDELINES FOR AMERICA and that takes up an entire side. It is clearly the CDC guidelines, and trump is trying to take credit.

The CDC has screwed -up his global spread of a man-made pathogen badly. Early on , when there was a chance to stop the spread in the US, the CDC was actually telling people who called in and told them they probably had been exposed to a carrier, to go on with normal activities. The guy in HI, who had a Japanese friend who was sick, called the CDC and asked what he should do. That is what he said they told him, so he got vocal about it, and did just what the CDC told him to do. He got out and socialized. How about that bureaucrat that let the sick cruise ship passengers on the plane with the healthy ones?

I wonder how that dude in HI has been doing.

The CDC was not ready with masks and gloves.
They at first were denying that this was a bad pathogen.
They didn't say to get all the supplies ready - nope they let them get sold and exported to china.
What have they actually done, but request more money?

It is human nature i suppose to believe we can figure out the unbelievable. I think in the end there were plenty of scrw ups and lots of blame to go around. Until shown other wise i am going to assume man was in the wrong and mother nature found a way. Or as Blue Oyster Cult once said, "History shows again and again how nature points up the folly of men"

No the point that I was making is that everyone and their dictator, government, king or whatever will delight on putting their own spin on this to suit their agenda or profit so keep you head up and pay attention or you stand a good chance of getting fucked over.
