U.S.plan warns coronavirus pandemic could last 18 months: report

A plan developed by the federal government to combat the coronavirus reportedly projects the pandemic will last 18 months or more and could feature multiple “waves,” The New York Times reported.

“Shortages of products may occur, impacting health care, emergency services, and other elements of critical infrastructure,” the plan warns, according to the Times. “This includes potentially critical shortages of diagnostics, medical supplies (including PPE [personal protective equipment] and pharmaceuticals), and staffing in some locations.”

The plan adds that the virus’s spread and severity “will be difficult to forecast and characterize” and could result in “significant shortages for government, private sector, and individual U.S. consumers.”

If you think it's just 60 - 80 year olds at high risk you are wrong.

Coronavirus doctor says lung scans for young patients were ‘nothing short of terrifying’

A Belgian doctor working to battle the coronavirus says he’s treated several seriously ill young patients — and their lung scans were “nothing short of terrifying,” according to reports.

Dr. Ignace Demeyer, who works at a hospital in Aalst, said an increasing number of people between the ages of 30 and 50 have presented with severe symptoms, despite having “blank medical records” that show no underlying conditions that would make them high-risk, the Brussels Times reported.

Generally, old people has higher risk due to the immunity system. But some NBA stars also get infected. Wear mask when out and wash hands can help you keep away from the virus.

Never let a crisis go to waste. Debt bubble pops, and pile the damage on the taxpayer's backs, via debt.

Boeing wants $60B, cause they spent that much on stock buybacks, and it went wrong. There are about 300 million people in the USA. Boeing wants $200 for each person in the country, for themselves. Man, woman, child.

fvck boeing.

christ i hope Musk doesn't start an airplane company.

i suggest listening to Chris Martenson's video (maybe the one titled "Coronavirus: Prepare For National Lockdown" -

where he has an excerpt from a guy talking about

inoculum.

If you are exposed to C-Virus, it is VERY VERY important, how much you get.

This is better explained at Dr. Desai at about 14:25 in this video -

also these curves are very interesting. They show how Singapore South Korea, and maybe Japan, have managed to slow the infection rate (although in the case of Japan it may be more don't test don't tell.)

Helicopter Money update ....

White House coronavirus plan aims to send $2,000 to many Americans, includes $300 billion for small businesses

White House officials are working with congressional Republicans on an emergency stimulus package that could send two $1,000 checks to many Americans and also devote $300 billion towards helping small businesses avoid mass layoffs, according to two senior administration officials and a Treasury Department fact sheet.

No final decisions have been made and talks with Republican leaders remain fluid, but the growing scale of the $1 trillion rescue plan is coming into sharper focus. The Treasury Department is circulating a two-page sheet of priorities that it wants to see in the final deal. As part of it, the White House seeks to create a $50 billion “airline industry secured lending facility” that would allow it to make direct loans to “U.S. passenger and cargo air carriers.”

The Trump administration plans to immediately turn back all asylum seekers and other foreigners attempting to enter the United States from Mexico illegally, saying the nation cannot risk allowing the coronavirus to spread through detention facilities and Border Patrol agents, four administration officials said.

The administration officials said the ports of entry would remain open to American citizens, green-card holders and foreigners with proper documentation. Some foreigners would be blocked, including Europeans currently subject to earlier travel restrictions imposed by the administration. The points of entry will also be open to commercial traffic.

The U.S. border with Canada will be temporarily closed to 'non-essential traffic,’ Trump said on Wednesday, as the deadly coronavirus outbreak continues to spread.

The news comes as countries around the world adopt increasingly strict quarantine measures, and experts are warning that life worldwide will be severely disrupted for many months.

Senate passes coronavirus relief plan to expand paid leave, sends it to Trump
PUBLISHED WED, MAR 18 2020 3:51 PM EDT

The Senate passed a bill Wednesday to expand paid leave and unemployment benefits in response to the coronavirus pandemic, part of a staggering response expected in the coming weeks to avoid economic calamity.

The chamber approved the bipartisan plan in a 90-8 vote. Two senators — Republicans Cory Gardner of Colorado and Rick Scott of Florida — did not vote while in self quarantine after exposure to people who tested positive for the coronavirus disease known as COVID

More countries introduce isolation measures
Belgium became the latest to go into lockdown, with citizens asked to stay at home and limit contact to their closest relatives. Greece announced its own measures, as did Portugal and Chile. Steps were also taken to limit travel in North America and in West Africa.
