California reported its first death related to coronavirus on Wednesday.
Placer County Public Health officials announced that a patient who had tested positive for COVID-19 after returning from a cruise to Mexico last month died. The individual was an elderly adult with underlying health conditions and was the county’s second confirmed case of COVID-19, reported Tuesday night. Officials said that close contacts of the patient were being quarantined and monitored for the illness.

“Those people are all tested by the CDC. It’s not based on whether or not someone would be able to pay,” said Dillaha. “Of course no test is free. Someone is bearing the cost.”
She notes there are ongoing conversations between federal and state authorities on how to finance the tests and that she doesn’t know all the intricacies of the payment situation

At another message board I frequent two people think they have or have had WuFlu already. One caught it on a trip to Orlando Jan 7-11 time frame. That guy recovered, mostly. His wife also caught it and recovered. The other person still has it and feels they are getting better. There both healthy and around 60.

My family has enough dehydrated food to last a few years. I should probably get some water stashed too. I have a bunch of food grade barrels and some 180 gallon rubbermaids that I had tried doing some aquaponics and bluegill with.
