Trying to quarantine Americans will be like trying heard locusts with a bulldozer.
California is now somewhat a third world land. People living in tents and out in the street. No borders and all the lowest members of the third world living here invited by the rulers. Hope it is just a bad flu and not more cause I have no confidence in my government to do anything but take my money and freedom.
Pot legality came with a heavy price. More restrictive living here than ever but yeah the pot thing is nice.

I wonder if this is just the 'dummy run' - before a later and more deadly virus - is released - because to the elites - the ones who can book a place in a bunker - and sit it out comfortably - while most of the worlds humans get sick and expire - they might want to know how fast - and where to - and in what time - a virus would take to infect the world first - before completing such a plan -

Not yet, but something tells me this may be much worse than most imagine....
In a way I agree with mr. Nirvana, the .guv probably don't have OUR interests at heart when they roll out these decisions. In the USofA we also have 2 serious factors. I competence, and ill will. The incompetence in .guv is due to a lot of reasons, but I will distill it to stoopitidy, and ignorance. Then there is the ill will as there are those in the .guv that want Trump to fail and are probably sabotaging at every step. Americans have no discipline and these factors will make this hit hard here.
The bureaucrat who disobeyed what was the procedure and let those 14 people on the jet from Japan with the DP cruise ship people is an example. I think that was someone who wanted to see this get worse on Trump's watch and shoud be fired and charged with treason.
We can use a GAU-8 in the nose of an A-10 instead of anti-aircraft guns.
F all that though...I am in prepared to just go into hiding - seige mode.

e.g. some guy who tried to get assessed for CoVid-19.
He had health insurance.
His insurer said, "we don't cover that".
"doctor" said, "give me $3500".

The combination of bankrupt-the-patient pricing ... well actually that's enough on its own.
Mostly what an American "hospital" will do for you is, oxygen.
Too stupid to even create negative pressure rooms, so the hospital itself becomes a Super-Spreader.
Cannabis growers have known about negative pressure almost forever. I built a negative pressure room in 1991.
One option is to go to the local medical supply and get your own oxygen set-up.

I haven’t heard it mentioned yet that the disease seems to prefer countries that are experiencing winter. Warm countries and countries in the Southern Hemisphere experiencing summer seem to be unaffected?
