Screws my room is 10 by 14 . The 18000 btu split ac is working good. Just had someone price out a 36000 btu for each room at 4k per room with ac and install.

4k per room jsut for ac? hooooly shit thats a lot of bread to drop just for some cold air... i mean i know people who do it , but i never understood

why not just put in a 25kbtu window banger, should be fine unless ur gonna run more than 8 lights per room

did i mention that your plants look great? good job man, soon the whole world will go vertical

Thanks man. Any suggestion as to who makes a wall hanger 25000 btu or bigger that i could install myself?

The "other room" next to this has 8 lights hanging and i wanna put in a co2 burner so i think i need a 36000 btu wall hanger do they exist?

just a suggestion.... if you feed your plants grow food for the first week into flowering and then cut back to about 10% of there food still being grow food through out the flowering period it will greatly reduce if not eliminate the yellowing and browning of the leaves... got the tip from heath_robinson....works charms.

Frigidaire 25kbtu ac

LG 25kbtu ac

25kbtu is the bigest you can go for a window unit, they run on 240v only.. anything bigger is gonna cost a few G's and needs pro installation... it's worth it though to have a nice mini-split system if you are keeping this grow going for a while.

edit: nevermind! i never knew these existed.... 3-ton window bangers! ... not sure how well they compare to a mini-split, but check it out

Schrews, thanks, those friedrich wall mounted 36000 BTU a/c's use 18 amps when cooling and 24 amps when heating, that is significant. So then it is 2 options, a split ac at 4K or whatever with install or 1800 for a wall mounted one that i install.

Nurture nature thank you for the suggestion.

A dual zone mini split would be nice but for both rooms cooling needs (one room 8 lights) (one room 4 with co2 burner) that would be too big of an electricity taker for me. A 5 ton dual zone is going to use i think what 35 amps or so.

Ill prob just keep the one mini split 18000 btu that works the 4 light room and get a three ton for the other. Just as soon as i can get the moola together.

In the 8 light room i took apart a 2k cooltube over a tray and am now hanging them bare bulb over the tray. It is significantly more bright in there.

so i guess you dont like cool tubes because seems to me they would save you from buying the a/c and the the electrice saved from not using such big ac units you could just add another air cooled bulb

cool tubes take from yield, its like 6% -12% from glass and more from lost light (inside ducting, ect. I love tubes tho, but people with the $$ can do it, y not :O

Cool tubes wouldn't be very practical in a stadium type setup...it's doable but I think it's best to just cool the entire room with massive exhaust or a/c and run bare bulbs. :tiphat:
