Cops profiling summer festival goers

Yeah the story shed some light on why I saw 5 cops standing on the top of a hill with a tripod and camera hooked up to a laptop.

It is true, they have been running facial recognition software in England for a couple of years now. CCTV cameras are being taught how to recognise keywords from you speech and in Barcelona, Placa George Orwell has just had surveillance cameras installed, no, really.....

That is nothing. In a popular festival in my area on private land they were videotaping people from a hilltop and were using face recognition software. It was in my very well respected city newspaper and they were cheering on its use.

I am not going to link to the story or say what festival because I am the dark lurker after all.

If anyone woudl take a moment to really consider what they are doing, because I know.. Not because I am clairvoyant but because I have read in the news before that

which really fucks things up for people who are on "tour"

its no joke. Some of these small towns are getting together and using communications to try and squash the hippy gypsy concert circuit

I see people getting caught at concerts all the time. Security peeps in plan cloth blend in the crowd soon as someone take a hit of whatever it maybe booom they rush em like a linebacker. Have a friend who works for concerts during the summer and told me they are getting stricter and stricter every year and its not worth the risk to smoke a doobie.
