You are spot on with your descriptions dude. People freak out when one calyx is a solid one hitter toke lol... It still hits great potency wise its decent uppers but ya the flavor is less on that one.

Tony this fox tail pheno might be the incense its so loud and hazey but there is a good amount of astringency that i hope translates into to the chruch incense
now this old school haze talk about picture perfect bro she has the fat calyxes, the structure, the yeild, and scent of a killer haze
My clone reveged and waiting for her to snap out of it then its on.
Man hats off to ojd on that old school haze she is a deadly line.

I grew grinspoon at the same time as 90s haze, surprisingly the grinspoon was like frankiscense.

Grinspoon has super incense after smell. It leaves the room smelling so good.

90s haze to me is not very hazy, good but not what i think of when I think haze.

No haze to it at all
My other fox tail pheno smells straight hazey but really loud
Im waiting to clip her next week to see what she smells like

I got 5 of these going as we speak at 5 weeks into flower. 2 outta 5 look decent, but no frankincense yet. I'm being hopeful that someone comes across the elusive Frankincense trait on this line. I've read more frankincense reports on the "Old School Haze" OJD dropped a few years ago, but it was limited drop. The closest I've gotten to the piff is the Simply Irresistible by far!! Found the frankincense in all three(after smell) but one was very dominant on the taste and after smell(piff leaning pheno)The other 2; one had a slight touch of lemon, and the other was very interesting with a raspberry pine taste.

Self ill tell you this foxtail pheno i have is a loud pine dark smell haze ringer

I dont know if its gonna be the incense haze but fuck bro

The other pheno is trash and i will only run the clone to fill a spot but she doesn't smell anything like haze at all

Now the old school haze i have looks exactly like the pics ojd shows on his ig
I dont know if it's that particular pheno that has the incense but my pheno is ojd's cut identical twin

I went ahead and purchased some frankincense and compared
It to my fox tail pheno and my old school haze
Man this foxtail pheno stinks jeez like some loud pine and it does have the incense trait but it behind that loud pine smell
Hard to really describe but smelly
I keep reaching to smell it its intoxicating

My 90s haze is the weirdest plant, the biggest buds grow at the bottom of the plant. As the bud works it's way up each stem there is this weird mis shapen tiny little bud at the top of every stem.

The bids ay the bottom are nice nut the ones at the top are not much.

It's very short and stump plant with kind of sativa like bus that grow along each stem. Very strange.

Buds are nice and chunky rather small but otherwise nice.

The frankincense aroma loved by so many is the aroma of the SMOKE - not the bud, growing, cured or otherwise. The clue is that actual frankincense is burned. Church is how it should leave the room smelling.

That's not all. The aroma is woody, musky, sometimes a note of melted butter that gives it a buttery funk. But it the smoke. You won't know till then. The only seeds I have ever grown and got it were GHS NH in 2003 or 4. 10 seeds, 7 girls, 4 phenols and ALL so incense it was ridiculous. Thick, beautiful incense when each one was smoked.
I grew ACE Purple haze x Malawi - nothing. I grew their Panama Haze - a vague hint at best. I grew their Tikal - nothing. Found nothing in Hawaiian Maui Waui either.

Got some current Fem NH going now but I'm prepared for disappointment. Best tip I got recently was Serious KM. the guy grew 5 of the latest line and said he got 5 incense. That's my next run.

The bud should smell like piff, the bud should taste like piff, and finally the smoke smells like piff.


The real NYC Uptown Haze buds stunk like frankincense ... loud. Likewise, the taste is loud frankincense. and finally, obviously the smell of the smoke is incense.

But, if the only frankincense you get is in the smoke... that's what you call a garbage pheno. You need to throw that crap out.


Side note: the 90's haze is raw ... that c5 ojd has is official tissue.


CSG and Ace have the right haze gear, period. End of story. And a proper selection on mns Neville's haze is also epic. The males are the bangers. Select a NH male people, stop looking for the females only because the male side of the NH is where it's at. Be prepared to search a little though.


As for serious and their Kalimist ... no not at all .


Western Winds would serve you better but even then, it's a matter of luck. Sampled an excellent one once, but they lost the cut ... dorks. Man that was good. But I was also told they didn't find one other like it, and after they cracked like 20 more w. winds, they gave up.

Sampled a really nice Chimera Frankies Haze. So raw. But, every other pheno of that strain they gave me to smoke sample had no 'frankies' in it at all. just limey. I even wonder if the "frankies haze" I sampled was actually mixed up by them, and not even from Chimera.

I have my doubts. Anyone with that chimera frankies x whatever f1's from chimera should take those to f2 and then you'll know if he has the real deal piff. It could be there. It definitely could be. Anyone not f2ing chimeras haze crosses could be missing out bigtime. But I must stress 'could'.

The old kali mist was good, nowadays not the same at all.

And the 'astringent' type hazes are hands down some of the best.

90's haze cut at 70 days

90's haze cut at 70 days

Here's my 90's Haze I cut down a couple of days ago. Only got to be abut 2 ft high which surprised me. She grew really floppy and if the string wasn't tying her to the stakes she'd look like an octopus because all her limbs, including the main one, would be splayed out on the table. This surprised me too. I was expecting a plant looking something like the sshxssdh fem I grew along with her shown in the other picture. She's at 72 days and her trich's are maybe 75% cloudy so I'll be harvesting her soon.

I think I'll get 2.5 - 2.75 oz from the 90's which is ok for me because I grow 6 plants in a 4x2 tent and it gets pretty crowded in there. I smoked a little before harvest and it seemed high quality but I really don't get high from smoking so I'll have to wait a while to cook some brownies to find out how good she is.
