yep i made this thread to pose a question to the wingnuts who see communism around every corner but none of them want to really engage, they still come in here revealing parts of the "commie plan" lol but that doesn't really help me understand why they think that way. i guess all i can really do is chalk it up to the crazy media so many these days are consuming.

i genuinely want to understand the logic behind thinking Nancy Pelosi (a corrupt multi millionaire landlord capitalist elitist) is a communist for example. believing such a thing defies all logic and reason to me and to most people who are plugged in to politics.

i've also noticed the boy who cried commie crowd seem to lack any sense of humor as well...or have even the slightest awareness of irony or hypocrisy....

Luckily I don't live in your crazy country. With its Freedom (cough, cough) and all. I live in a Common - wealth country where by the looks of things the peasants are much better off. Like for example it is possible to live on welfare. Especially if you grow your own and don't carry debt. Of course nowhere is perfect and we still have an idiot class which think they are politicians. Unfortunately most of we peasants are happy to go along with their charade. We even argue, somewhat hopelessly, impotently, whether our politicians are right or wrong.
I watch your politics from afar and have come to the conclusion that America is doomed. It will go down in a pile of steaming shit. (Somewhat disconnectedly, I 'm the same age as Nancy and would have loved to see her naked when we were 25.)
So being old enuf to remember the anti-communist witch hunts of the late 50's and early sixties in your country ... I 'm amazed people try to make history repeat itself. As if they have nothing else to do but re-cycle the past. A great unwashed mass of echo-listeners ...

I agree with you that Nancy Pelosi is a quintessential corrupt capitalist.

Lol, the majority of Americans don't need welfare to live great. Non Americans always crack me up the most, so clueless to the truth.

they don't need it to "live great" lol more like just to be able to live and die with some decency... just as a quick example - do you know how many homeless and poor elderly people this country would have, as well as a likely lifespan reduction, if it weren't for a social safety net?

i had to send my sick and dying grandmother groceries, clothing, and every day items in the mail because she could not live off her savings, monthly social security check, and my grandfathers military benefits. she was basically working a few months before she wasn't able to any longer and died shortly after.

imagine making it to your 70s-80s just to get cast aside and forgotten about and have to work until you die, stripped of your own personal dignity to have to ask your grandchildren to buy you underwear and stuff because you otherwise can't survive.

americans are so apathetic to the needs of their fellow americans until it PERSONALLY affects them in one way or another. another classic example of this is militant anti gay politicians becoming pro gay after their son/daughter comes out of the closet.

Working hard, making only 30k a year, and investing my hard earned money has me a home completely paid off at age 32. Make stupid choices, win stupid prizes, that's the motto I live by. If I can do it then really anybody can.

Personally I would fledge for inflation, cannabis stocks if they get a little cheaper, uranium, silver, and miners that mine battery metals for the electric vehicle boom. Don’t forget crypto, thats a big one. I don't wanna talk about commies no more.

cool story bro.

??? my grandmother worked her entire life lmao

bro Indiana is ranked one of the cheapest places to live in the country lmao you can't live off $30k in much of the country.

ah yes because if there was one concern my dying grandma had at the time was definitely to pay attention to the stock market and crypto currencies lmao you really don't understand what you're talking about.

you've also not spoken about commies at all lol.

You already said your grandma passed, I was given my financial opinion (not financial advice) to you bro. The cost of living can be outrageous in bigger cities sure but making 3k a month should give you a decent lifestyle.

oh lol i thought u were saying a frail dying woman struggling to pay her bills should pay attention to the stock market and cryptocurrency lol she barely knew how to operate a computer and had more pressing matters at hand lol like her health. she actually worked in plant nurseries and stuff like that all her life. she died early 2020 from prior health complications due to a lifelong tobacco addiction.

all i'm saying is there is 100% a benefit to welfare programs, especially the popular ones like social security, medicare, and medicaid. they are literally the most popular pieces of legislation that our government has done in the modern era and maybe ever lol. social security alone lifts tens of millions of seniors out of poverty every year. without welfare programs like this, what is the alternative? more and more people are living longer and longer due to medicine and technology. should we just abandon these people or expect/gamble on charity to cover all their needs?

by the time our generation reaches retirement age, we're A) never gonna be able to retire in the first place, but B) should have a safety net for when we do so we can ensure we all live comfortably and preserve our dignity as human beings. not even the elderly republicans want to do away with this because they know and understand this first hand. the idea that govt is always bad does have actual real world results. govt is a tool like a gun, neither good nor bad. it's rather the people who are weilding such devices who are to blame.... fill the govt with bad people (democrats and republicans), expect bad results...

and also i'm not even really defending existing welfare because it's not good enough, what currently exists is the bare minimum in most cases. expanding medicare to cover all americans, and doing a "universal social security" in the form of a UBI is what i really prefer.

If you work and make 3k a month, most of it goes to living expenses . It is expensive to work. Housing costs more. Transportation costs more. Clothing costs more.
You can do well if you depend on social programs or your parents.
If you’re depending on your parents , one should realize not everybody has that luxury.
